## Description

Pixel FlowLinks is a local-first internal-linking tool for WordPress and WooCommerce.
The Free edition provides the core related-content engine: you decide which content
types can link to which other content types, where related-content boxes should
appear, how many links each box should contain, how targets are ordered, which content
is excluded, and how the boxes look.

The Free edition supports Posts, Pages, and WooCommerce Products when WooCommerce
is installed and active. It includes a configurable Source Target content matrix,
a minimum-word threshold, multiple paragraph insertion positions, normal paragraph
analysis plus a page-builder-aware analysis mode, separate ordering profiles for
Posts/Pages and Products, manual exclusions by ID or internal URL, Card/List layouts,
responsive columns, thumbnails, excerpts, custom colors, and an administrator Live
Preview.

All core rendering is performed locally inside WordPress. Free does not send visitor
analytics or click data to an external service. The optional “Powered By: Pixel
Flowlinks” credit is disabled by default and only appears after explicit opt-in.

### Features

 * Automatic related-content boxes inside supported singular WordPress content.
 * Posts, Pages, and WooCommerce Product support, with Products available when WooCommerce
   is active.
 * Configurable Source Target content-type matrix so you control which content
   families can be shown from each source type.
 * Minimum-word threshold to suppress boxes on short content.
 * 1–20 related links per box.
 * Multiple insertion positions in one article using paragraph numbers such as 2,
   5, 9.
 * Paragraph-position handling based on real HTML

<

p> elements in the rendered content rather than arbitrary occurrences of a closing
tag. Builder wrapper markup does not create extra paragraph indexes.
 * Structural
paragraph analysis that counts real HTML

<

p> elements even when they are nested inside page-builder wrapper markup.
 * Automatic
exclusion of the current source content so a post, page, or product is never recommended
to itself. * Manual target exclusions by content ID or internal URL, with up to
500 exclusions. * Independent ordering profiles for Posts/Pages and WooCommerce
Products. * Chronological ordering with newest/oldest direction. * Card and List
display styles. * 1–6 columns for the Free edition’s Card layout. * Optional featured
images and excerpts. * Configurable excerpt length. * Custom background, border,
title, text, and item-border colors. * WordPress admin Live Preview for the internal-
link box. * Optional external “Powered By: Pixel Flowlinks” credit link, disabled
by default and shown only after explicit opt-in.

### Free vs. Full

The Free edition intentionally focuses on the core related-content box workflow.
The Full edition includes everything in Free and adds advanced keyword linking,
click analytics, relevance-driven link recommendations, and link-network health
analysis.

### Full Edition

Upgrade to Pixel FlowLinks Full when you need more than manually configured related-
content boxes. The Full edition extends the same core engine with the following
capabilities.

### 1. Advanced Internal-Link Ordering & Selection

 * Everything in the Free internal-link engine, including the content matrix, paragraph
   placement, exclusions, Card/List presentation, thumbnails, excerpts, colors,
   and Live Preview.
 * Independent target-selection rules for Posts/Pages and WooCommerce Products.
 * Most popular ordering based on FlowLinks click counts.
 * Best-seller ordering for WooCommerce Products using WooCommerce sales data.
 * Last-modified ordering.
 * Alphabetical title ordering.
 * Comment-count ordering.
 * Content-ID ordering.
 * Random ordering for varied selections across page views.
 * Manual ordering using an explicit content-ID sequence.
 * Optional Smart Render integration with the Link Intelligence engine: when enabled
   and applicable, precomputed relevance recommendations are used first and the
   normal query system fills any remaining slots.
 * Configurable intelligence minimum score for Smart Render filtering.

### 2. Keyword Auto-Linking

 * Automatically turn configured words or phrases into links inside selected Post,
   Page, and/or Product content.
 * Multiple independent keyword-to-URL rules.
 * Per-rule maximum link count from 0 to 100.
 * Optional random occurrence selection for varied anchor placement across page
   loads.
 * Optional opening in a new browser tab with the appropriate rel=”noopener” attribute.
 * Longer keyword phrases are processed before shorter overlapping phrases, so specific
   phrases take priority.
 * Newly created keyword anchors are excluded from later matching passes, preventing
   repeated wrapping and nested keyword links.
 * Keyword linking is processed on the rendered post content and runs locally without
   an external linking service.

### 3. Click Analytics

 * Local click tracking for FlowLinks internal-link boxes.
 * Local click tracking for configured keyword links.
 * Total internal-link click counts.
 * Source target click reporting for internal links.
 * Top source pages and top destination content.
 * Click counts by content type.
 * Keyword-click totals and keyword-level analytics.
 * Last-click data for reported internal-link relationships.
 * Searchable and sortable analytics reporting in the WordPress admin.
 * Nonce-protected tracking endpoints with server-side validation of source/target
   content before recording a click.

### 4. Link Intelligence & Relevance Scoring

 * Builds local content profiles for published content to support relevance analysis.
 * Relevance scoring on a 0–100 scale.
 * Scoring uses title-term overlap, content-term overlap, taxonomy overlap, shared
   key-phrase signals, content-type relationship, and target freshness.
 * Configurable minimum relevance score for stored recommendations and Smart Render
   filtering.
 * Precomputed smart recommendations for source content.
 * Suggested anchors based on terms already present in the source content and the
   target title.
 * Detection of whether a suggested anchor is actually insertable into the source
   content.
 * Duplicate-target protection so the same source/target relationship is not repeatedly
   suggested.

### 5. Link-Network Health Scanner

 * Resumable scanning of published Posts and WooCommerce Products.
 * Server-side checkpointing so a scan can continue from its saved cursor instead
   of restarting from the beginning.
 * Start, pause, resume, and stop controls.
 * Batch processing designed to avoid long single-request scans.
 * Orphan-content detection for published content with no inbound internal links.
 * Broken-link detection for internal URLs that no longer resolve to a valid published
   target.
 * Internal-link graph storage for source target relationships and link counts.
 * Link-building opportunity generation for relevant source/target pairs.
 * Opportunity scores, suggested anchors, reasons, and status tracking.
 * Re-analysis of selected orphan targets.
 * Apply or dismiss individual recommendations.
 * Bulk apply and bulk dismiss actions for link opportunities.
 * Explicit capability checks before applying changes to source content.
 * Automatic validation before applying a recommendation, so stale or no-longer-
   valid opportunities are not blindly written to content.

### 6. Local, Privacy-Conscious Architecture

 * Core analysis, click tracking, recommendation scoring, and health scanning run
   on the WordPress site.
 * No external analytics account or external linking API is required for the plugin’s
   core functionality.
 * Dedicated database tables store click data, keyword-click data, content profiles,
   link edges, and link opportunities.
 * Database schema upgrades are versioned and performed automatically by the plugin’s
   migration layer.
 * Administrative AJAX operations use nonce verification and capability checks.
 * Database access uses parameterized SQL where custom SQL is required, and output
   is escaped at the point of output.

### Why Upgrade?

Free gives you the foundation for controlled, configurable related-content boxes.
Full turns that foundation into a broader internal-link optimization system: automate
keyword-to-URL linking, understand which links receive clicks, discover relevance-
based opportunities, identify orphan pages and broken internal links, and maintain
the health of your internal-link network from one WordPress dashboard.

### Privacy

Pixel FlowLinks Free does not send page views, clicks, or visitor analytics to an
external service. The core linking workflow runs locally on the WordPress site.
The optional Powered By credit, when explicitly enabled, is a normal outbound link
to the Pixel Plugins website; it does not implement visitor tracking by itself.

## FAQ

### Does Free require WooCommerce?

No. Posts and Pages can be used without WooCommerce. WooCommerce Products become
available when WooCommerce is installed and active.

### Does Free track clicks?

No. Click analytics and tracking are not included in the Free edition. Those capabilities
are part of the Full edition.

### What does Full add?

Full adds keyword auto-linking, local click analytics, relevance-based Link Intelligence,
Smart Render integration, resumable link-network health scanning, orphan and broken-
link detection, link-building opportunities, suggested anchors, and controlled application/
dismissal of recommendations.

### Does Full modify content automatically?

The Link Intelligence workflow is recommendation-driven. A detected opportunity
is not silently written into a source post; applying an opportunity is an explicit
administrative action and is revalidated before the content is updated.

### Can I disable the Powered By credit?

Yes. In the Free edition, the credit is disabled by default and only appears when
you explicitly enable the optional credit setting.

### Does FlowLinks analyze every page builder?

The placement engine counts real HTML paragraph elements and also handles paragraph
elements inside common builder wrapper markup. It does not claim universal builder-
specific support for every page builder or every custom content structure.

## Changelog

#### 2.6.10

 * Enqueued dynamic frontend CSS with wp_add_inline_style() instead of emitting
   raw style tags.
 * Removed inline admin JavaScript and moved tab navigation into the existing enqueued
   admin script.
 * Removed duplicate font-face output; font declarations remain in the enqueued
   CSS files.
 * Removed bundled en_US translation files and the unnecessary load_plugin_textdomain()
   call for WordPress.org distribution.
 * Tightened validation of dynamic CSS custom properties and clarified the optional
   public external-credit opt-in.
 * Hardened paragraph-position detection so configured boxes are inserted after
   the selected real HTML paragraphs without rebuilding or rewriting the original
   content markup.
 * Updated the Free readme with a complete, code-verified overview of the Full edition’s
   capabilities.
 * The optional Powered By credit is disabled by default and requires explicit opt-
   in.
 * Documentation aligned with the structural paragraph scanner used by the current
   release.
 * Reduced repeated deterministic related-content queries within a single frontend
   request.
 * Added WordPress.org-oriented plugin metadata and documentation.
 * Removed a stale font asset reference that could generate a broken local request.
