FAQ

Where can I change the plugins settings?

After installed, go to your “Settings” menu and select “Pinterest Pin It”. There, you’ll have several settings you can change.

How do I add the button only to specific images?

On the plugin settings page, check the box under the “Advanced” section called “Selected images only”. Head on to your post and edit it. If you are using HTML view: just add class="pinthis" to the image. If a “class” already exists, just add a space to the end of it and type pinthis. If you are using Visual view, click once on your image, select the “Edit image” button, click on the “Advanced settings” tab and add to the “CSS Class” field pinthis.

Images with specific classes shouldn’t show the button. Can this be done?

Yes. In the plugin settings window, just type in the class you want to exclude from recieving the button. You can also use the default nopin class on your images.

Can I disable the button on all images of a post?

Yes. In your post editing, you will see a “Pinterest plugin” box to the right side of your window. There you can select “Disable Pinterest Pin It button on all images in this page”.

Can I add / change the “Pin This” button?

Yes. Just open the ppibfi_pinterest.css file. You’ll find instructions there on how to change your button.

Where do I report bugs?

In the WordPress forum (https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/pinterest-pin-it-button-for-images) or, even better (as I check it more often), our bug tracker at https://github.com/canha42/pinterest-pin-it/issues (requires registry).

Can I e-mail you with my problems?

I enjoy writting this plugin and maintaining it, but it’s not something I can afford on a daily basis. Please take into account I have a day job and helping people individually is not possible. Please use the forum listed above to post your problem so even other people can help you. Thanks for your comprehension! 🙂

Works great but settings doesn’t response

Hi. In my website the plugin settings doesn’t works.
I only want image over button function because my template has their own pinterest and other social buttons at the end of the post.
I tried to set in plugin settings. But the website doesn’t response.
I check not to display the pin button above the post but the button still there.
I supouse is because there are the social buttons of my theme. I can see all social buttons of my theme and pinterest button replaced with plugin style.
So I think there is some incompatibility. Or plugin css rewrites theme css
At the moment the plugin is disabled. Can I solve that?

Makes pinning images easy

I use this Pin plugin on most of my sites that use photography and images, such as my green recipe site. It’s very easy to set up and overall I’m very happy with it.
