## Description

Pillark gives you a clear overview of your pillar pages and the content clusters
built around them, plus the internal-linking tools to keep that structure healthy.
Pick your Pillar pages, and Pillark automatically maps which posts link to them,
scores each cluster’s structure, and flags what’s missing.

Everything runs inside your own WordPress admin. The plugin reads your existing
posts and pages, builds an internal link map, and reports on the parts of onsite
SEO that are easy to overlook.

Built by Lasse Enggaard (https://lasse-enggaard.dk) at Webro (https://webro.dk).
Plugin home: https://pillark.org

Source code: https://github.com/LasseEnggaard/pillark — there’s no build step or
compiler involved; the JavaScript and CSS shipped in the plugin are the exact same
files in the repository, not a compiled or minified output.

#### What it does

 * **Clusters** – choose your Pillar pages and see each one’s cluster at a glance:
incoming and outgoing links, two-way linking, topic coverage, freshness, and
a per-Pillar quality score with concrete suggestions.
 * **Post overview** – a sortable, filterable table of every post with word count,
internal links, featured image, images missing alt text and more. Exports to
   CSV.
 * **Internal link profile** – see which pages link where, the anchor texts used,
and how link equity flows across the site.
 * **Orphan detection** – find posts and pages that receive no incoming internal
   links.
 * **Link suggestions** – get suggestions for relevant internal links between related
   content.
 * **Keyword cannibalization** – detect posts competing for the same focus keyword.
 * **Duplicate anchors** – find identical anchor texts pointing to different URLs.
 * **Content CTA button** – optionally insert a call-to-action button into post
content, with per-post and per-category exclusions.

#### Works with Yoast SEO

The keyword cannibalization report uses Yoast SEO’s focus keyword data, and the
per-Pillar cluster score includes Yoast’s SEO title, meta description and focus
keyword as one of its signals when Yoast is active. Neither is required — the internal
link analysis, cluster overview and other tools all work without Yoast installed.
This is an independent plugin and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected
to Yoast.

## Installation

 1. Upload the `pillark` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install
the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
 2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress.
 3. Open the “Pillark” menu item in the admin sidebar — it opens straight to the Clusters
    overview.

## FAQ

### Does this plugin require Yoast SEO?

No. The plugin works on its own. Only the keyword cannibalization report depends
on Yoast’s focus keyword data; everything else works without Yoast installed.

### Does the plugin modify my content automatically?

No. The plugin reports and suggests. It does not rewrite your posts or insert internal
links on its own. The only optional content change is the call-to-action button,
which you enable explicitly and can exclude per post or category.

### Will it slow down my site?

The analysis runs in the admin area on demand, not on your front end. Front-end
output is limited to the optional CTA button.

### Does it send any data to external servers?

No. All analysis happens locally within your WordPress installation.

### What happens to my data if I uninstall the plugin?

Deleting the plugin (not just deactivating it) removes Pillark’s own settings —
the pillar selection and the CTA button configuration.

### Is this plugin translation-ready?

Yes. Pillark uses the `pillark` text domain throughout (including in JavaScript,
via `wp_set_script_translations()`), and ships with a complete Danish (da_DK) translation
out of the box. English is the default; further languages can be contributed via
[translate.wordpress.org](https://translate.wordpress.org/) once the plugin is listed.
