It uses the WordPress-native AI Client( built into WordPress core since version 7.0) instead of its own, separate API integration— meaning it works with whichever AI provider you have already connected under Settings Connectors, with no plugin-specific API key to manage. #### How it works A box appears in the editor sidebar of every post and page. Enter a few keywords describing what the text should cover, choose a tone and length, and click “Generate suggestion”. The suggestion appears in an editable preview — nothing is written to your post until you click “Apply”. #### Features * Text generation for posts and pages, directly in the editor (Block Editor and Classic Editor both supported) * Required keywords field, so the AI always has real context to work from instead of inventing something generic * Automatic title suggestion when the post/page doesn’t have a title yet * Confirmation prompt before overwriting an existing title * Automatic cleanup if the AI wraps its answer in a Markdown code block * A warning is shown when editing an Elementor-managed page, since Elementor renders its own separately stored content rather than the WordPress core content field * Error log with export, for diagnosing AI Client connection issues * No plugin-specific API key, no plugin-specific provider settings — connect an AI provider once, centrally, in WordPress itself #### Pro version A separate, paid Pro version — Pan-KI-Redaktor Pro — is available at pan4.de with additional features: bulk generation across multiple posts/pages at once, batch creation of new drafts, AI featured image generation, meta description suggestions, title variants, excerpt generation, a WP-CLI backfill command, focus keyword checks, internal link suggestions, tag/category suggestions, tone consistency checks, social media snippets, and popup headline suggestions — each with a choice of several AI providers and your own API key. This plugin does not connect to any third-party AI service directly, does not manage any API key itself, and does not send any data automatically or in the background — a request is only made when you actively click “Generate suggestion” in the editor. The actual third-party AI provider used depends entirely on what you (or your site administrator) have configured under Settings Connectors in WordPress itself — this plugin has no control over and no visibility into which provider that is. When you generate a suggestion, the post/page title, category, tags, and the keywords you typed are sent to that configured provider via the WordPress AI Client. Please refer to the documentation of the specific AI provider connector plugin(s) you have installed (for example an OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic connector) for that provider’s own data handling, terms of service, and privacy policy. ## Installation 1. Upload and activate the plugin 2. This plugin requires WordPress 7.0 or later (for the built-in AI Client) and at least one AI provider connected under Settings Connectors 3. Use the “Pan-KI-Redaktor” box in the post or page editor ## FAQ ### Do I need to enter an API key in this plugin? No. This plugin uses the WordPress-native AI Client instead of its own API integration. Connect an AI provider once under Settings Connectors, and every AI Client-based plugin (including this one) can use it. ### “Generate suggestion” says the AI Client isn’t available This plugin requires WordPress 7.0 or later. On older WordPress versions, the built- in AI Client does not exist. ### “Generate suggestion” gives an error about no provider being configured No AI provider is connected yet. Go to Settings Connectors and connect at least one provider (for example by installing an official AI provider connector plugin for OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic). ### Applying a suggestion doesn’t change anything on an Elementor page Expected behavior, not a bug: Elementor renders the frontend from its own, separately stored data, not from the WordPress core content field. The applied text is saved correctly, but Elementor may still display its previous content. A warning about this is shown automatically when editing an Elementor-managed page. ### What’s the difference to the Pro version, Beitragstext-Pan? This free plugin covers single-post/page text generation only, via the WordPress AI Client.
