The service is required to authenticate the administrator with Google, obtain read- only access to Google Analytics, match the WordPress site URL to a GA4 web data stream, and return analytics dashboard data. During connection and dashboard use, the WordPress site URL, a short-lived authorization code, a site-scoped Owl Insight access token, requested date ranges, widget identifiers, and analytics responses are exchanged with Owl Insight. Install “Owl Insight Analytics” from the WordPress plugin directory, or upload the `owl-insight-analytics` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`. 2. Activate the plugin. 3. Open **Owl Insight** in the WordPress admin menu. 4. Select **Sign in with Google** and choose an account that can read this site’s GA4 property. 5. Approve read-only Google Analytics access. Owl Insight will match the property by its web-stream URL. The WordPress site and admin URL must use HTTPS, except for local development on` localhost` or `127.0.0.1`.
