That token covers all selected image size variants and any additional output formats generated for that image. #### External services This plugin communicates with the opti.ninja API at https://opti.ninja/api/v1 and the public API at https://opti.ninja/api/public. Depending on how you use the plugin, the following data may be sent: * Image optimization (POST /optimize-sync) — image file data is sent for image compression and optional format conversion. Images are processed on opti.ninja servers and are not stored permanently. * Account connection (POST /connections/login, POST /connections/api-key, DELETE/ connections/) — your opti.ninja credentials or API key, plus basic site metadata such as site name, site URL, WordPress version, and plugin version. * Quota information (GET /jobs/quota) — retrieves token balance, quota information, and subscription details. * Token packages (GET /token-packages) — retrieves available token packages for purchase suggestions inside the plugin. Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/ or install through the WordPress plugins screen. 2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen. 3. Go to Settings Opti Ninja and connect your opti.ninja account using your login credentials or API key. 4. Configure image compression settings, output formats, and image size selections. 5. Optimize individual images from Media Library or run Media Bulk Optimize for bulk image optimization. ## FAQ ### How do I connect my account? Open Settings Opti Ninja and log in using your opti.ninja username and password. Alternatively, use an API key from your opti.ninja dashboard. API keys start with optn_. ### What is image optimization? Image optimization reduces image file sizes while maintaining visual quality. Smaller images load faster, improve page speed, and can help improve Core Web Vitals scores. ### How do I compress images in WordPress? Opti Ninja compresses JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and HEIC images directly from your WordPress Media Library. ### Does image compression improve Core Web Vitals? Yes.
