This plugin is designed as a companion to the OATS Nova theme. The blocks themselves will work with any block theme, though their default styling is tuned to match OATS Nova’s editorial visual style. **Note:** the product, cart, and checkout features require WooCommerce to be active. The content blocks (hero, journal grid, testimonials, team grid, etc.) work independently of WooCommerce. ## Blocks This plugin provides 47 blocks. * Image Text Two-column layout with an image on one side and rich text content on the other, with an optional overlap effect. * Scent Finder CTA Conversion-focused call-to-action that guides visitors to discover their scent. * Product Showcase Flexible product grid with per-item grid positioning and vertical offset for staggered layouts. * Image Hero Full-viewport hero with a background image, dark overlay, eyebrow label, large heading, and a CTA button. * Journal Filter Bar Sticky pill-style category filter bar. Pairs with the Journal Grid block to filter articles by category. * Page Intro Page header with flexible, reorderable text elements. * FAQ Section A flexible FAQ section with optional side panel, accordion items, and full style controls. * Custom Gifting Editorial callout for customized gifting — weddings, events, and intentional gatherings. * Scent Collection Editorial display of the scent collection. Each scent with image, number, name, mood keywords. * Value Pillars Horizontal grid of brand value pillars with title + supporting line. Minimal and editorial. * Form Placeholder A styled wrapper for a contact form. Drop your form plugin block (WPForms, Fluent Forms, etc.) inside. * Contact Info Grid A responsive grid of contact info items. * Logo Wall An infinite-scrolling logo marquee. Add logos, control speed, direction, grayscale, and all visual styles. * Product Block WooCommerce single product layout with image gallery, add-to- cart, tabs and related products. * Product Category Category section that groups a heading, optional description, and a Product Grid. * Newsletter Circle Editorial email signup framed as joining a circle. Visual form only. * Contact Map Embed a Google Map or OpenStreetMap with a search query or custom embed URL. * Story Layout Sticky-image split layout with scrolling text, an optional full- width video, and a bottom CTA — ideal for About / Our Story pages. * Scroll Marquee Bold horizontal scrolling text marquee for section dividers and visual rhythm. * Brand Story Centered brand mission section with eyebrow, heading, body, subheading, CTA button, and an image gallery. * Gift Set Callout Premium gift set or bundle callout. Editorial layout with image and price. * Experience Steps Numbered editorial steps with large numerals, titles, and descriptive copy. Used for The Experience or How To sections. * Product Grid Editorial product grid container. Holds Product Card blocks in a configurable column layout. * FAQ Accordion Editorial FAQ list with expandable answers. * Dual Journey Side-by-side editorial cards. Used for 'The Journey' section pairing Our Philosophy with The Experience. * Product Description Editorial product description section with headline, body copy, and numbered usage steps. Place inside the Product Block slot before related products. * Announcement Bar A thin promotional bar at the very top of the site (e.g. " Free shipping on US orders"). * Section Divider Subtle horizontal rule with optional ornament between sections. * Contact Block Editorial contact section with details and a visual message form. * Product Grid 2 A responsive product grid with a section heading and view-all link. Used for brand storytelling. * Founder Note Personal letter from the founder with flexible, reorderable text elements. * Product Preorder Connects to a WooCommerce product (or collection of products) and renders a preorder section with countdown, product details pulled live from WooCommerce, and a working add-to-cart button. Supports InnerBlocks for rich description content. * Mini Hero A full-width banner with a background image, dark overlay, heading, optional subtext, and a CTA button. Height and content width are flexible. * Story Paragraph Long-form editorial paragraph with optional eyebrow, sub-heading and drop cap. * Team Grid A grid of team member cards with avatar, name, role, and specialty. * Hero Cinematic Full-screen cinematic hero with video or image background, eyebrow text, large editorial heading, and CTAs. * Product Card Editorial product card with image, italic name, notes, price and Buy Now CTA. Used for hero product, gift sets, scent display. * Testimonials Rail Editorial customer testimonials shown as a horizontal scrollable rail with quote, name and location. * Quote Feature Large editorial pull quote with attribution. Used for brand quotes or literary references. * Content Media Two-column layout with rich text content on one side and an image or looping video on the other. * Coming Soon Tile Blurred teaser tile for upcoming experiences or unreleased products. * Contact Us A two-column contact section with a form on the left and contact information on the right. * Journal Grid Editorial journal/article card grid with image, category, read time, title, excerpt, date and a Load More button. Pairs with the Journal Filter Bar. * Scent Quiz Interactive multi-question quiz that scores answers and reveals a matched result. ## Installation 1. Upload the plugin files to the `/wp-content/plugins/oats-africa-fse-theme-blocks` directory, or install the plugin directly through the WordPress Plugins screen. 2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress. 3. Find the blocks under the “OATS” category in the block inserter. ## FAQ ### Does this plugin require the OATS Nova theme? No. The blocks and shortcodes work with any theme, though they’re styled to match OATS Nova. ### Does this plugin require WooCommerce? Only for the product-related blocks and the cart/checkout shortcodes.
