## Description

NSSD – Admin Menu Manager replaces a crowded admin sidebar with a single, tidy dashboard
of tabs and cards. Each card points to a content type, a settings page, or any admin
URL, and its original sidebar item is hidden automatically. Tabs and cards can be
limited by user role, so every team sees only what matters to them.

Features:

 * Group admin destinations into tabs and cards.
 * Point a card at a custom post type or a Pods settings page from a dropdown — 
   the link is built for you and the sidebar item is hidden. Destinations already
   assigned to a card no longer clutter the dropdown.
 * Limit the hub menu, tabs, and cards to specific roles — only roles you explicitly
   check can see them. Check none and only administrators can, at every level. Administrators
   always see everything, everywhere.
 * Visual Phosphor icon picker with debounced search — no icon codes to remember.
 * Drag-and-drop card reordering within a tab, and drag-and-drop tab reordering 
   from Settings.
 * Rename the hub menu and choose its icon.
 * Consistent empty states with a quick way to add your first tab or card.
 * Translation-ready; contribute translations via translate.wordpress.org.

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` or install the ZIP via Plugins
    Add New  Upload.
 2. Activate the plugin.
 3. Open the hub from the admin menu and add your first tab and cards.

## FAQ

### Does hiding a sidebar item delete anything?

No. The item is only hidden from the menu while the plugin is active. Disable the
plugin and the original menu returns.

### Who can edit the hub?

Only users who can manage options (administrators). Everyone else sees a read-only,
role-filtered view.

### Who can see the hub menu at all?

Only roles explicitly checked under Settings  “Who can see the Content Hub?”. If
none are checked, only administrators see the menu — this applies even to roles 
that already have visible cards, so make sure to check every role that should have
access.

 * Sidebar menu icon CSS is now enqueued via `wp_add_inline_style()` instead of 
   an inline `echo`-ed `<style>` tag.
 * Moved the hub’s menu position to the bottom of the admin sidebar instead of appearing
   near the top, so it doesn’t compete with WordPress core items for visibility.
 * Removed the bundled `.po`/`.mo`/`.pot` translation files — translations are now
   handled entirely through translate.wordpress.org, as recommended for WordPress.
   org-hosted plugins.

 * Fixed a performance issue: the sidebar menu icon was re-reading and parsing the
   entire bundled ~80KB Phosphor icon stylesheet from disk on every single wp-admin
   page load, site-wide, for every user — not just this plugin’s own screen. Icon
   lookups (both the sidebar glyph and the icon picker) are now parsed once and 
   cached via a transient, keyed to the plugin version.
 * Role-based visibility for the hub menu, tabs, and cards is now strict opt-in 
   everywhere: only explicitly checked roles can see an item, and checking none 
   means administrators-only, consistently at every level. Previously an empty role
   list meant “visible to everyone,” which could look like access had been removed
   when it had actually been opened up.
 * A user with role access to a tab but no visible cards inside it yet now still
   sees the tab (with a “no content available” message) instead of the tab disappearing
   as if they had no access at all.
 * The role checklist no longer lists roles that already have the `manage_options`
   capability (administrators, by default) — those roles always see everything regardless
   of any checkbox, so listing them as a togglable option was misleading.
