## Description

NexVibe Revenue Insights helps WooCommerce store owners understand product revenue,
costs, estimated profit, margins, and sales performance directly inside WordPress.

It does **not** change your prices automatically, does not require an account, and
does not use a cloud server. Every calculation happens locally, using your own WooCommerce
data. It never sends store data to any external API or third-party service — the
only data that ever leaves your server is the optional weekly report email, sent
through WordPress’s own email system to the address you configure.

**Free features:**

 * **Profit Dashboard** — revenue, orders, products sold, average order value, estimated
   product profit and average margin, over Today / 7 / 30 / 90 days / This Year.
 * **Product Cost Tracking** — a Cost price field for simple products, variable
products and individual variations, with WooCommerce Bulk Edit support.
 * **Profit & Margin Analysis** — one centralized calculation engine used consistently
across the dashboard, product list, alerts and email report.
 * **Low Margin Alerts** — a configurable margin threshold, surfaced on the dashboard
and as a WordPress dashboard widget.
 * **Top Selling Products** — your top 10 products by units sold, with revenue and
   estimated profit.
 * **No Sales Insights** — see which published products had zero sales in the selected
period, separate from your low-margin list.
 * **Missing Cost Detection** — a clear warning and list of products that don’t
have a cost price yet, so profit numbers are never silently assumed to be zero-
   cost.
 * **Weekly Email Report** — a summary of the above sent via WordPress email (`wp_mail()`)
to your configured recipient, enabled by default and disableable at any time.

No page builders, no external JS frameworks, no bloat — just WordPress and WooCommerce
APIs.

#### A note on “Estimated Product Profit”

This figure is product revenue minus product cost, for line items where you’ve entered
a cost price. It excludes shipping revenue and tax, and it is **not** a full business
net-profit figure — it doesn’t know about your other operating costs. Products missing
a cost price are excluded from the profit and margin totals (never assumed to cost
$0), and the dashboard tells you how many products still need a cost price.

#### Privacy

NexVibe Revenue Insights does not send store data to any external API, third-party
service, or analytics platform. No store URLs, customer data, order data, or product
data are ever transmitted off your server for the plugin’s own purposes, and there
is no tracking or telemetry of any kind.

The one exception is the Weekly Email Report. It is enabled by default and sends
a summary of your revenue, profit, and margin figures through WordPress’s own email
system (`wp_mail()`) to the site administrator’s email address — you can change
the recipient or turn it off entirely at any time in Settings.

## Installation

 1. Upload the `nexvibe-revenue-insights` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install
the zip via Plugins Add New Upload Plugin.
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
 3. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
 4. Go to **NexVibe Revenue Insights Settings** to set your margin thresholds, default
dashboard range, and weekly report recipient.
 5. Edit a product and fill in its **Cost price** field (Product data General) to
start seeing profit numbers, or use the “Add Cost Prices” link in the welcome notice.

## FAQ

### Does this plugin change my product prices automatically?

No. NexVibe Revenue Insights only reads your existing prices, costs and order data
to calculate profit and margin. It never writes to your product prices, and the
Free version never will.

### Where do I enter a product’s cost price?

On the product edit screen, under Product data General, you’ll find a “Cost price”
field. For variable products, each variation has its own cost price field. You can
also bulk-update cost prices from the Products list using WooCommerce’s built-in
Bulk Edit.

### Why does a product show “No cost data” instead of a profit number?

NexVibe Revenue Insights never assumes a missing cost is $0 — that would fabricate
profit. Products without a cost price are excluded from profit and margin totals
until you add one; the dashboard shows how many products still need it.

### Does “Estimated Product Profit” include shipping or tax?

No. It’s calculated from product line-item revenue minus product cost only. It is
not a complete net-profit figure for your business.

### What happens to my data if I uninstall the plugin?

By default, your NexVibe Revenue Insights settings and product cost prices are left
in place in case you reinstall later. If you’d rather they be removed on uninstall,
enable “Delete NexVibe Revenue Insights data on uninstall” in Settings first. Your
WooCommerce products, orders and prices are never deleted by this plugin, regardless
of that setting.

### How often is the dashboard data refreshed?

Reports are cached for 6 hours for performance, and refresh automatically whenever
an order’s status changes, a refund is created, or a product’s cost price is edited.

### Does this plugin send any data to an external server?

No. There is no external API call, no tracking, and no telemetry anywhere in this
plugin. The one exception is the Weekly Email Report (enabled by default, can be
disabled in Settings): it sends a profit/revenue summary through WordPress’s own`
wp_mail()` system to the recipient address configured in Settings — not to any third-
party API or analytics service.
