# Netcreator Payment Gateway for UPI

## Description

Netcreator Payment Gateway for UPI adds a simple UPI payment option at checkout.

Customers can:
 * open a UPI-enabled app on mobile * copy the UPI ID * copy the 
UPI payment link * see the order total and payment instructions on the thank-you
page

If QR code display is enabled in the gateway settings, the plugin loads a QR image
from an external QR code service on the order received / thank-you page.

### Requirements

 * WordPress 6.0 or higher
 * WooCommerce
 * PHP 7.4 or higher

### External services

This plugin can connect to the external service `api.qrserver.com` to generate a
QR code image for the UPI payment link. This is used only to display a scannable
QR code on the WooCommerce order received / thank-you page when the QR code option
is enabled in the payment gateway settings.

When the QR code is shown, the plugin sends the generated UPI payment link to `api.
qrserver.com` as part of the QR image request. That link can include the merchant
UPI ID, payee name, order total, order number, and currency needed to build the 
payment request.

### Privacy

This plugin stores gateway settings in WooCommerce and uses order data locally to
build the UPI payment link shown to the customer.

If QR code display is enabled, the plugin also sends the generated UPI payment link
to `api.qrserver.com` so that service can return a QR image for the customer to 
scan on the thank-you page.

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` or install the ZIP from the 
    WordPress admin.
 2. Activate the plugin.
 3. Make sure WooCommerce is active.
 4. Go to `WooCommerce > Settings > Payments`.
 5. Enable `Netcreator Payment Gateway for UPI`.
 6. Enter your UPI ID and save changes.

## FAQ

### Does the plugin confirm payments automatically?

No. Orders are placed on hold until you confirm payment.

### Does this version generate QR codes?

Yes. If the QR code options are enabled in the gateway settings, the plugin loads
a QR code image from `api.qrserver.com` on the thank-you page. If QR code options
are disabled, the plugin only shows the UPI app links and copyable payment details.
