Create reusable Battery Models for shared information such as manufacturer, chemistry, capacity, and voltage. Nerakon Battery Record Manager is a preparation and management tool. It does not guarantee legal compliance, provide certification, act as an official EU plugin, or connect to the EU Digital Product Passport Registry. ### Basic use 1. Open **Battery Passports > Battery Models** and add shared model information. 2. Open **Battery Passports > Add Individual Passport**. 3. Select the model and enter the serial number and other individual information. 4. Review each field’s access badge. Only fields marked **Public** appear without authentication. 5. Publish the record, then use **View public passport**, **Public JSON**, or **Download QR (SVG)**. ### Privacy Normal plugin operation does not transmit Battery Passport data to the plugin developer. The plugin contains no telemetry, developer analytics, external account requirement, remote QR service, or hidden runtime network request. WordPress, WooCommerce, the site host, and other installed extensions may have their own behavior and privacy policies. ### WooCommerce WooCommerce is optional and is not bundled. When it is installed and active, the plugin adds a Battery Passports panel to supported order screens for manual order- level and line-item associations. Nerakon Battery Record Manager declares compatibility with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage. ### Legal and regulatory notice This plugin is a data preparation and management tool. It does not provide legal advice, certification, conformity assessment, guaranteed compliance, an official regulatory identifier, or EU DPP Registry integration. Restricted-access implementation remains limited while detailed legally binding access rules are pending. Publish the passport to enable its public page, QR code, and JSON representation. ## FAQ ### Does this plugin guarantee compliance with Regulation (EU) 2023/1542? No. The plugin provides a regulatory-aware preparation structure, but data applicability, accuracy, legal obligations, final restricted-access rules, certification, identifiers, and registry submission remain the operator’s responsibility. ### Is this an official EU plugin or registry provider? No. Nerakon Battery Record Manager is independent software and has no official affiliation with the European Union or its institutions. ### Does the QR code use an external service? No. The QR code is generated locally in the administrator’s browser using the bundled MIT-licensed qrcode-generator library. ### What is the UUID shown by the plugin? It is a stable internal record identifier used for the public URL and QR target. It is not represented as the future regulatory product or passport identifier. ### Is WooCommerce required? No. The plugin works independently. When WooCommerce is active, published passports can be associated manually with an order and individual line items. Deactivating WooCommerce does not remove passport data or prevent normal passport use. ### What happens when the plugin is deactivated or uninstalled? Deactivation leaves all data in place.
