By default, the plugin stores the following data locally on your WordPress server: * **Analytics Data:** When a visitor views, dismisses, or interacts with a popup, we log the event. To protect privacy and assist with GDPR compliance, visitor IP addresses are irreversibly hashed before storage. We do not store raw IP addresses for analytics. We also record the visitor’s traffic source (e.g., ‘Google Search’), device type (e.g., ‘mobile’), and the page URL they were viewing. * **Lead Data:** When a visitor submits a form through a popup, we store the information they explicitly provide (such as their Name and Email Address). We also store an irreversibly hashed version of their IP address for security and rate-limiting purposes (to prevent spam). * **Data Sharing:** Milky PopUp does NOT send your leads, analytics, or visitor data to any external servers. All data remains securely in your WordPress database. ## Installation 1. Upload the `milky-popup` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install directly through the WordPress plugins screen. 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress. 3. A new ‘Milky’ menu will appear in your WordPress admin sidebar. 4. Click ‘Milky’ and start building your first popup! ## FAQ ### Does this slow down my website? No! Milky PopUp is built to be extremely lightweight. The frontend loads less than 10kb of JavaScript and CSS. ### Do I need to know how to code? Not at all. The visual builder lets you customize colors, text, images, and form fields with just a few clicks. ### Where do my leads go? Your leads are saved directly to your WordPress database.
