## Description

MigrateFix helps site owners, developers, and agencies clean up common issues when
moving a WordPress website from development or staging to production.

Current features include:

 * Dry-run URL scanning before any database change.
 * URL replacement in common WordPress content and metadata tables.
 * Serialized PHP data handling during replacements.
 * Search engine visibility check.
 * HTTPS check.
 * Home URL and Site URL comparison.
 * Permalink configuration check.
 * Capability and nonce protection for database actions.
 * No post GUID replacement.

Always create a current database backup before using any search-and-replace tool.

## Installation

 1. Upload and activate MigrateFix.
 2. Go to Tools > MigrateFix.
 3. Enter the old development or staging URL and the production URL.
 4. Run the scan and review the results.
 5. Create a current database backup.
 6. Select Replace URLs when you are ready.

## FAQ

### Does MigrateFix change anything during a scan?

No. Scanning is read-only.

### Does MigrateFix support serialized data?

The replacement engine unserializes supported WordPress serialized values, performs
recursive replacement, and serializes them again.

### Does MigrateFix replace post GUIDs?

No. The plugin intentionally does not modify the posts.guid column.

### Should I back up my database first?

Yes. Always create a current database backup before modifying URLs.
