The analyzer recognizes five transparent signals: striking-distance queries, site- relative CTR gaps, rising demand, decay, and page opportunities. These are triage signals, not traffic forecasts, ranking guarantees, or causal claims. The report builder can also list WordPress posts and pages published or updated inside a chosen date range. Reports are stored as private, non-queryable records in the site’s own WordPress database and can be printed or exported as Markdown and JSON. Privacy is the default: * CSV files are parsed in the administrator’s browser. * Imported query text, URLs, and metrics are not sent to MetricQuill Search Reports. * The plugin makes no external requests and includes no analytics or telemetry. * Saved reports remain in the WordPress database until deleted or the plugin is uninstalled. * The plugin does not add public attribution links or modify front-end content. Upload the plugin directory to `/wp-content/plugins/` or install the ZIP. 2. Activate MetricQuill Search Reports. 3. Open MetricQuill Search Reports in the WordPress administrator menu. 4. Export the Queries table from Search Console Performance and choose it as the current CSV. 5. Optionally add an equal previous-period Queries export and a current Pages export. ## FAQ ### Does the plugin connect to my Search Console account? No. Version 1.0 reads CSV files you explicitly choose. It does not request Google credentials or connect to the Search Console API. ### Does the plugin upload Search Console data? No. CSV parsing and opportunity scoring happen in your browser. A report is sent only to your own WordPress server when you press Save report. ### What CSV columns are required? A Queries export needs Top queries or Query, Clicks, Impressions, CTR, and Position. A Pages export uses Top pages or Page with the same four metrics. ### Does an opportunity score predict ranking growth? No. Priority is a deterministic triage score based on impression scale and the matched rule. Verify search intent, the live result, seasonality, indexing, and recent edits before changing a page. ### Can reports appear on the public site? No. Saved reports use a private post type with no public route or REST exposure. Use the print or export controls to share a report deliberately. ### What happens to saved reports on uninstall? Uninstalling the plugin permanently removes its private report records.
