#### How the WordPress plugin works
1. Install and activate the plugin, then enter your **Widget Key** in **Settings >
MediaMind**.
2. The **AI widget** is automatically injected on every post and page — a floating
button that opens an AI panel with a Summary tab, a Q&A chat tab, and article recommendations—
without any theme modification.
3. The widget resolves the current page automatically via its URL — no manual sync
required.
4. You can optionally place **HTML zone tags** in your templates for a fully inline,
design-native experience.

### External Services
This plugin connects to the **MediaMind API**, an external AI engagement service
operated by MediaMind.
**What the service does:** MediaMind indexes your content and provides AI-generated
summaries, Q&A chat, and article recommendations to your readers.
**What data is sent and when:**
* **On front-end page load:** The Widget Key is embedded in the page source and
used to load the AI widget script from the MediaMind servers. The current page
URL is passed to the widget so it can display the correct AI content.
* **On reader interaction:** When a visitor uses the AI widget (opens a summary,
types a question, or requests recommendations), their query text and the current
page URL are transmitted to MediaMind servers for AI processing. No personally
identifiable information (name, email, login data) is collected by the plugin
or transmitted to MediaMind.

### Privacy
This plugin does not set any cookies directly. The MediaMind JavaScript widget may
store a session token in `localStorage` on the reader’s browser in order to maintain
persistent chat history across page loads. No tracking cookies are set.
Data transmitted to MediaMind:
* **Reader interaction data (client-side):** Query text and page URL — sent only
when a reader actively uses the AI widget.
* **No PII is collected by default.** The plugin does not transmit reader IP addresses,
email addresses, or WordPress user data.
Site administrators can delete all reader interaction data for their site from the
MediaMind dashboard at any time. MediaMind does not sell reader data to third parties.

## Installation
#### Automatic installation (recommended)
1. In your WordPress Dashboard go to **Plugins > Add New**.
2. Search for **MediaMind AI Widget**.
3. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.
4. Go to **Settings > MediaMind** and enter your Widget Key.
5. Click **Save Settings**.
#### Manual installation
1. Download the `mediamind-ai-widget.zip` file.
2. In your WordPress Dashboard go to **Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin**.
3. Select the `.zip` file and click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.
#### Where to find your Widget Key
1. Sign in to your MediaMind dashboard at [https://mediamind.pro](https://mediamind.pro).
2. Go to **Widget & API > API Keys**.
3. Copy your **Widget Key** (prefix: `mmnd_pub_`).

### What is MediaMind?
MediaMind is an AI engagement and analytics platform for publishers. It reads your
articles, builds an AI knowledge base, and gives your readers an intelligent assistant
while giving your editorial team actionable intelligence.
### Do I need a MediaMind account?
Yes. This plugin connects to the MediaMind external service and requires an active
account to function. A free account is available at [https://mediamind.pro](https://mediamind.pro).
### Will the widget slow down my site?
No. The widget script loads **asynchronously** and has no render-blocking impact
on page load. All AI processing happens server-side.
### Is my Widget Key exposed to visitors?
The Widget Key (`mmnd_pub_`) is intentionally designed to be safe in public HTML—
it is strictly read-only and cannot write data, access billing information, or perform
any administrative action.
### Which post types are supported?
By default: **Posts** and **Pages**.
### Does it support multilingual sites?
The widget language can be set to French or English. It auto-detects the site language
by default.
