## Description

MarketGrow gives professional service firms an AI colleague that answers questions
on their own website, qualifies visitors and books appointments. This plugin places
that AI colleague on your WordPress site.

You need a MarketGrow account. The plugin does nothing on its own: it adds a script
tag that loads the chat widget from app.marketgrow.ai. Everything else, from the
tone of voice to the knowledge base, is configured in your MarketGrow dashboard.

**How it works**

 1. Install and activate the plugin.
 2. Go to Settings and then MarketGrow.
 3. Enter the connection code from your MarketGrow dashboard.
 4. Choose whether the chat floats in the bottom right corner or appears in the middle
    of a page.

That is all. No code to paste, no theme files to edit.

**Placing the chat somewhere specific**

Put the shortcode `[marketgrow]` where you want the conversation to appear. This
works in the block editor, in an HTML block, in a column or container of any page
builder, and in a sidebar through a Shortcode block under Appearance and Widgets.

Wherever the shortcode appears, the chat opens there instead of floating. How wide
or narrow it looks is a setting in your MarketGrow dashboard.

The widget loads exactly once per page, whatever you do. If the shortcode is present
it takes precedence over the floating option, and a second shortcode on the same
page is ignored.

**What this plugin does not do**

It does not load libraries, set cookies, store data or make any outbound request
from PHP. It prints one script tag in the footer. Everything after that happens
in the visitor’s browser.

### External services

This plugin loads a script from app.marketgrow.ai, operated by MarketGrow (Juligo
Ventures B.V., the Netherlands). The script renders the chat widget and communicates
with MarketGrow’s servers to answer visitor questions.

Data sent: the conversation a visitor types, and the connection code that identifies
your account. When a visitor chooses to leave their details, the name, email address
and phone number they enter are sent as well.

No data is sent until a visitor opens the chat. Site owners and administrators are
not tracked.

## FAQ

### Do I need a MarketGrow account?

Yes. The plugin places the widget; the account provides the AI colleague behind
it.

### Where do I find my connection code?

In your MarketGrow dashboard under Settings, in the section about your website.
It looks like `jansen-advocaten`.

### I installed the plugin but nothing appears

Check three things. Is the connection code filled in? Is the display set to floating,
or did you choose in-page without placing the shortcode? And is your AI colleague
already live? A new account is reviewed by MarketGrow before it goes live; until
then the widget stays silent on purpose.

### Can I use the plugin and a manual script tag at the same time?

No. Use one method. Two installations means two chat windows on the same page. Within
the plugin itself this cannot happen: it prints exactly one script tag per page.

### Can I put the chat in my sidebar?

Yes. Add a Shortcode block under Appearance and Widgets, and put `[marketgrow]`
in it.

### Does this slow down my site?

The script loads deferred, after your page content, and is only fetched once per
visit.
