## Description
MakoChat puts an AI receptionist on your WordPress site. It is trained on your entire
website, answers visitor questions around the clock, books real appointments on
your calendar (via a free Cal.com connection), and emails you every lead with the
full conversation — so your business never misses another customer.

**What you need**
A MakoChat account ([plans from $39/month](https://makochat.app/), self-setup in
about 15 minutes — or have the Mako Logics team set everything up for you). This
plugin connects your WordPress site to your MakoChat assistant; conversations are
processed by the MakoChat service.
### External Services
This plugin connects to **MakoChat** (https://makochat.app), a service operated
by Mako Logics LLC — the same company that publishes this plugin.
* **What is loaded:** the plugin enqueues one script, `https://makochat.app/embed.
js`, which displays the chat bubble and chat window (in an iframe served from
makochat.app).
* **What data is sent, and when:** when a site visitor opens the chat and sends
a message, that message (and any contact details the visitor chooses to share,
such as a name or phone number) is sent to the MakoChat service to generate the
AI reply and deliver leads to the site owner. The page’s hostname is also sent
so the widget only operates on websites the account owner has authorized. No
data is sent for visitors who never interact with the chat beyond the script
loading.

## Installation
1. Install and activate the plugin.
2. Go to Settings MakoChat.
3. Paste your Widget ID (shown in your MakoChat dashboard under “Put it on your website”).
4. Save — the chat bubble is live on your site.

### Do I need a MakoChat account?
Yes — the plugin displays your MakoChat assistant. Create one at makochat.app (plans
from $39/month, free to set up).
### Will it slow down my site?
No. The plugin adds one small deferred script; the chat itself loads in an isolated
frame and never blocks your pages.
### The bubble covers a button on my site
Settings MakoChat raise “Bubble height from bottom” until it clears.
### Where is visitor data processed?
Conversations are processed by the MakoChat service (makochat.app), operated by
