Once connected, your store activity powers ready-made email automations and behavior-based segments, and your product catalog is available inside the email editor. **What the plugin does** * One-click connection: sign in to MailingPlatform from the plugin settings page and the store is connected. A one-time connection code is available as a fallback. * Store events: orders, customers and products are sent to MailingPlatform through plugin-owned WooCommerce webhooks. Cart changes, checkout progress and stock changes are relayed as signed events. * Abandoned cart recovery: cart contents (products, quantities, prices, images and a return-to-checkout link) are available in your abandoned cart emails. * Newsletter signup at checkout: an optional opt-in checkbox on the classic checkout page and the account registration form. Off by default, label configurable, unchecked by default. * Unique discount codes: MailingPlatform creates one-time WooCommerce coupons per recipient at send time, restricted to the recipient’s email address, using a dedicated REST API key the plugin creates on connect. * Consent-aware storefront tracking: a small script records product views and cart activity for browse abandonment flows and segments. It does nothing until you connect it to a MailingPlatform account. MailingPlatform is a subscription service billed by MailingPlatform: a free tier covers up to 100 active subscribers with every feature included, and paid plans start at 39 EUR per month with a 14-day free trial. See [pricing](https://mailingplatform.net/pricing). ### External services This plugin connects to MailingPlatform, a third-party email marketing service operated by the plugin author. No data is sent anywhere until the store owner explicitly connects the plugin to a MailingPlatform account from the plugin settings page. Once connected, the plugin sends data to the following endpoints: **api.mailingplatform.net (MailingPlatform API)** * When: on connect, on disconnect, once a day as a connection heartbeat, and whenever WooCommerce fires order, customer, product, cart, checkout or stock events. * What is sent: store URL, plugin and WooCommerce versions, order data (billing and shipping details, line items, totals, status), customer data (name, email, phone, billing details), product data (title, description, price, images, stock), cart contents with the customer’s email when known, and newsletter opt-in consent( email, name, timestamp, source). Events are signed with a per-store secret. * Why: to power email automations, segments, product blocks in emails and store statistics inside the store owner’s MailingPlatform account. **track.mailingplatform.net (MailingPlatform tracking script)** * When: the storefront loads the script `mp.js` on every public page while the connection is active and tracking consent is granted. * What is sent: page and product views, cart events, an anonymous visitor identifier and, after the visitor identifies themselves (checkout, login, email click), their email address. The visitor’s IP address and user agent are processed by the tracking endpoint for bot filtering and country lookup. * Why: browse abandonment flows, on-site behavior segments and campaign attribution. The plugin does not load fonts, images or scripts from any other third party. It does not send data to the plugin author for analytics about the plugin itself. Install and activate WooCommerce. 2. Upload the plugin zip under Plugins, Add new, Upload plugin, or install it from the plugin directory. Activate it. 3. Open Marketing, MailingPlatform. 4. Click Connect MailingPlatform account, sign in (or create an account) and approve the store connection. The plugin registers webhooks, creates a dedicated REST API key for discount codes and activates the tracking script. 5. Optional: expand Newsletter signup at checkout to enable the opt-in checkbox. Your store now appears under Integrations in MailingPlatform, and the store triggers are available in the automation editor. ## FAQ ### Do I need a MailingPlatform account? Yes. The plugin is the connector between WooCommerce and MailingPlatform. Create an account at mailingplatform.net; the free tier covers up to 100 active subscribers and paid plans start with a 14-day trial. ### Is anything sent before I connect the plugin? No. Until you connect a MailingPlatform account, the plugin registers no webhooks, loads no script and sends no data. ### Does the tracking script respect cookie consent? Yes. If your consent plugin implements the WordPress consent API, the script waits for the `statistics` category. You can also force it off with `add_filter( 'mp_wc_tracking_consent_granted',' __return_false' );` or signal consent changes from your own consent manager with` window.dispatchEvent( new CustomEvent( 'mailingplatform:consent', { detail: { granted: true } } ) );`. ### Does the newsletter checkbox work with the block-based checkout? Not yet. The checkbox renders on the classic (shortcode) checkout and on the My Account registration form. Stores using the checkout block can switch the checkout page to the `[woocommerce_checkout]` shortcode. ### How are the unique discount codes created? On connect, the plugin creates one read/write WooCommerce REST API key. MailingPlatform uses it to create a one-time coupon per recipient when an email uses the `{{coupon_code}}` merge tag. Coupons are restricted to the recipient’s email address. You can revoke the key from the plugin settings page at any time. ### What happens when I disconnect or uninstall? Disconnecting notifies MailingPlatform, removes the plugin-owned webhooks and clears the local connection settings. It keeps the REST API key so you can remove it deliberately from the settings page. Uninstalling deletes the plugin options and the scheduled heartbeat. Data already sent to MailingPlatform is managed from your MailingPlatform account. ### Where is my data hosted?
