Data is sent only when a customer checks out, a webhook is received, Paddle.js is loaded, or you turn on SMTP. By using those features you agree to the provider’s terms and privacy policy, and you must disclose them in your own store’s terms and privacy pages. **Stripe** (payments) Used when Stripe is the active gateway. The plugin calls `https://api.stripe.com/ v1/checkout/sessions` to create a Checkout Session, then redirects the buyer to Stripe Checkout. Stripe sends payment and subscription events back to your site’s webhook URL. Data sent to Stripe includes customer email, product name, plan (lifetime/ monthly/yearly), amount, currency, and an internal order ID. That host receives the recipient address and the email body (product name, license key, download link). Use only a provider whose terms and privacy policy you accept. Upload the `lucrativeit-digital-download-and-licensing` folder to `/wp-content/ plugins/`. 2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen. 3. Customers can create subscriber accounts through the plugin checkout. The WordPress general Membership setting is not required by this checkout registration flow. 4. Go to Digital Licensing Settings, choose Stripe or Paddle, and paste your keys. 5. Add the webhook URLs shown on the settings screen to Stripe or Paddle. 6. Create a product under Digital Licensing Add Product. 7. Place `[lucrativedigiprod_products]` on a page, or `[lucrativedigiprod_buy_box id="123"]` for a single product. The plugin also creates a My Digital Account page where buyers log in with their WordPress user. Yes. On File & Publish, raise Current version, optionally write the email subject/ body, check **Email purchasers when I click Update product**, and save. Only customers with a valid license are emailed, once per version. ### Does this require WooCommerce? No. The plugin is a standalone digital store with its own checkout, licenses, and downloads. ### Do I need to enable WordPress user login? Customers use WordPress accounts on checkout and on My Digital Account (`[lucrativedigiprod_account]`). The plugin checkout creates subscriber accounts independently of WordPress’s general Membership setting. Guest checkout also works. Guest orders remain accessible through emailed signed links and are not automatically claimed by an account with a matching email address. ### Which payment gateways are supported? Stripe Checkout and Paddle Billing. Choose one active gateway in Digital Licensing Settings. You need your own Stripe or Paddle account. Webhook signing secrets are required so payment events can be verified. ### What data is sent to Stripe or Paddle? At checkout the plugin sends the customer email (Stripe), product name, plan, amount, currency, and a plugin order ID. Card numbers and full payment details are entered on Stripe Checkout or in the Paddle overlay, not in WordPress. If you accept payments, your store must tell customers that checkout is processed by Stripe or Paddle and link to that provider’s terms and privacy policy. You remain responsible for your own terms of sale, refunds, and privacy notice. ### Does the plugin use other remote services? Paddle mode loads Paddle.js from Paddle’s CDN. Optional SMTP sends mail through the host you configure. No analytics or advertising networks are bundled. ### Where is the plugin license? No. Enable Download tracking under Settings Payments to record license IDs, product IDs and download times for dashboard statistics. New records do not collect IP addresses. Disabling tracking retains existing records, including any IP addresses recorded by older versions. This is operational download history, not a debug logger; no diagnostic logging or telemetry is enabled. ### Can I use the block editor? Yes. The Digital store pattern category contains product catalogue, cart, checkout and customer account patterns. ### What happens when I delete the plugin? Deactivation preserves store data. Deleting the plugin removes its custom tables, settings, product posts and private product files.
