Getting any of it written or checked still means opening a post, scrolling to the Yoast panel, filling one field, and moving to the next post. On a site with dozens or hundreds of pages, that adds up to an afternoon you don’t have, and it comes back every time you publish more. LolaCore for SEO moves that work into a sentence. Ask Lola to find every post missing a meta description, draft optimized descriptions for them, flag the five worst SEO scores, set your global title templates, or create a redirect. She reads what Yoast already stores, shows you exactly what she’s about to change, and waits for your approval before writing anything. Because LolaCore keeps memory of your site, Lola already knows your SEO baseline when you open the chat. You install Yoast SEO separately: Free from WordPress.org, or Premium under your own Yoast license. #### 22 abilities with Yoast SEO Free, 28 with Premium Post SEO (6 abilities) * Read and update SEO meta on any post: title, meta description, focus keyphrase, cornerstone flag, robots directives, and canonical URL. * Partial updates: send only the fields you want to change. Site audit (4 abilities) * List SEO scores across published content. * Find posts missing a meta description or focus keyphrase. * List posts with a poor SEO score (below your threshold). * Find posts set to noindex. Global configuration (5 abilities) * Read global Yoast settings: title templates, meta description templates, separator, and noindex rules by post type. * Update title and meta description templates, set the title separator, and toggle noindex per post type. Nothing publishes until you say go. #### You approve before anything changes Every write action goes through LolaCore’s preview step. Lola states exactly what she’s about to do and waits. You approve or you cancel. Nothing is written to your Yoast meta until you say so. #### It runs inside your WordPress admin You work with Lola in the LolaCore chat in wp-admin, the panel you already use. You describe what you want in plain language, she picks the right tool, and you watch each change land without leaving WordPress. #### What you need * WordPress 7.0+ * PHP 8.1+ * [LolaCore](https://wordpress.org/plugins/lolacore), active * [Yoast SEO](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/) (Free or Premium), active Yoast SEO Premium is optional. Redirect management and additional keyphrases require the Premium license you already own from Yoast. This addon doesn’t sell Premium features; it connects them to Lola once Premium is active. ## Installation 1. Install and activate [LolaCore](https://wordpress.org/plugins/lolacore) and Yoast SEO (Free or Premium). 2. Upload the `lolacore-for-seo` folder to `wp-content/plugins/`, or install the ZIP from Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin. 3. Activate LolaCore for SEO from the Plugins screen. 4. Open the Lola chat in wp-admin. The SEO domain appears with all abilities ready. No extra configuration. No API keys for this addon, your AI provider is configured once in WordPress itself (Settings -> Connectors, WordPress 7.0+), and LolaCore uses it. ## FAQ ### Do I need LolaCore to use this? Yes. This addon adds Yoast SEO abilities to LolaCore. It doesn’t run on its own. Install and activate LolaCore first. ### Do I need Yoast SEO Premium? No. The 22 Free abilities cover post SEO, site audits, global config, taxonomies, social profiles, and bulk updates. Yoast SEO Premium adds six more: redirects and additional keyphrases. If you ask for a Premium-only action and only have Yoast Free, Lola tells you clearly what’s missing. ### Is this an official Yoast plugin? No. It’s a third-party addon built by LolaCore. Yoast SEO is a product of Yoast BV, and we’re not affiliated with them. ### Does this replace Yoast SEO? No. Yoast SEO remains your SEO engine. This addon lets Lola read and write Yoast’s data through the official PHP API: titles, meta, keyphrases, redirects, and global settings. ### Does this addon send my SEO data anywhere? No. Every operation runs inside your WordPress installation through the Yoast PHP API. When you chat with Lola, your messages go to the AI provider you set up in WordPress itself (Settings -> Connectors, WordPress 7.0+). This addon only connects Yoast to LolaCore’s action system. ### What happens if I deactivate Yoast SEO? The addon shows an admin notice and stops registering its abilities until Yoast SEO is active again.
