FAQ
-
How do I enable the Coming Soon / Maintenance page?
-
Go to the “LR Coming Soon” settings page in your WordPress admin dashboard, select “Yes” under the “Enable Maintenance Mode” option, and click “Save Changes”. To disable it and make your site public again, switch the option to “No” and save your changes.
-
Can I schedule maintenance mode to start and end automatically?
-
Yes. Set the “Timer” option to “ON” and select your desired Start Date, End Date, and exact time (hours, minutes, seconds, and AM/PM). The plugin uses your WordPress site’s timezone settings to automatically enable and disable maintenance mode at the specified times.
-
How does the countdown timer work?
-
When scheduling is active (with the Timer option set to ON), a live countdown timer is displayed on the plugin settings page. It shows the time remaining until maintenance mode is automatically activated (if scheduled for a future date) or deactivated (if it is currently active).
-
Can I use a background video instead of a static image?
-
Yes. Set the “Background Type” option to “Video” and upload your MP4 video file directly from the WordPress Media Library. If you prefer a static background, set the option to “Image” and upload a background image instead.
-
Who can access the website when maintenance mode is active?
-
Logged-in administrators and users with administrative capabilities can access and browse the front end of the site normally. Public visitors and non-logged-in users will see the Coming Soon / Maintenance page.
-
Can I customize the text, colors, and layout of the Coming Soon page?
-
Yes. You can customize the page title, main heading, heading text color (using the color picker), and the main content text through the WordPress editor.
-
Set “Social Media” to “Yes” and enter links to your social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, and LinkedIn). The corresponding social media icons will automatically appear at the bottom of the Coming Soon page.
-
Will search engines index my site while it is in maintenance mode?
-
You can control this behavior using the “Robots Meta Tag” option. Selecting “noindex, nofollow” instructs search engines not to index the page, while selecting “index, follow” allows search engines to index it.
