Add the Linquo chat widget to your website to talk with your visitors, answer questions, and provide customer support in real time — straight from your Linquo dashboard. Connect your site once from inside your WordPress admin, and the Linquo chat widget appears on the front end automatically. When you connect your site, the live chat widget is added to your website. If you disconnect or remove the plugin, the widget is removed. #### 👋 Linquo account A Linquo account is required. Create a free account at https://linquo.app, connect your site from the plugin’s admin page, and your chat widget will appear on your website. ### External services This plugin connects your WordPress site to Linquo (https://linquo.app), a third- party live chat service, to provide the chat widget and dashboard. It requires a Linquo account. 1. Authentication. When you submit the login form on the plugin’s admin page, your Linquo email and password are sent from your browser to Linquo’s servers to create a session. Your password is never stored by the plugin; only the resulting session token is kept in your browser to keep you signed in. This happens only when you submit the login form. 2. Account lookup. Right after you sign in, the plugin retrieves your Linquo Organization ID from Linquo’s API so it can enable the chat widget for your account. This happens once, right after you sign in. The full Linquo dashboard opens in a new browser tab at `https://admin.linquo.app/dashboard`; it is not embedded in WordPress. 3. Chat widget. On your site’s front end, the chat widget loader script is loaded from `https://admin.linquo.app/widget.js` using your Linquo Organization ID, so the widget can be shown to your visitors. This happens on every front-end page view once connected. Upload the `linquo-live-chat` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress Plugins screen directly. 2. Activate the plugin through the **Plugins** screen in WordPress. 3. Go to the **Linquo** menu in your admin sidebar. 4. Sign in with your Linquo account email and password. Your site is connected automatically. 5. The chat widget now appears on your website. Use **Open Linquo Dashboard** to manage conversations in the Linquo web app. ## FAQ ### Do I need a Linquo account? Yes. Create a free account at https://linquo.app, then sign in from the plugin’s admin page. ### How do I connect my site? Open the **Linquo** menu in WordPress and sign in with your Linquo email and password. The plugin connects your site automatically — there is nothing to copy or paste. ### Why sign in with email and password? Signing in with your Linquo email and password lets the plugin securely look up your account and connect your site automatically. You can manage everything else— including Google sign-in — in the Linquo web app. ### How do I remove the chat widget? Click **Disconnect this site** on the plugin’s page, or deactivate/delete the plugin. The widget is removed from your site. ### Will it slow down my site?
