## Description

Kraan AI Assistant is a powerful, customizable AI chatbot designed for WordPress,
WooCommerce, and specialized Autotelex car dealer websites. It seamlessly integrates
with your content and products to answer customer questions automatically, 24/7.

### Key Features

 * **Smart WooCommerce Integration:** Automatically reads product data, stock status,
   and pricing.
 * **Autotelex (Occasions) Support:** Scans custom post types, custom fields, and
   taxonomies (like fuel type, transmission, mileage, and price).
 * **Website Content Scanning:** Automatically reads pages and posts to answer general
   questions (e.g., shipping costs, treatments, team members).
 * **Customizable Design:** Change colors, icon sizes, shadows, and placement (supports

 * **Lead Capture:** Ask for a name and email before the chat begins.
 * **Persistent Chat State:** The chat remembers its open/closed state and history
   while navigating across pages.

### External Services

This plugin connects directly to the OpenAI API (specifically the `chat/completions`
endpoint) to provide the AI chatbot functionality.
 When a visitor uses the chat
widget, the content of their messages (and their conversation history within that

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin files to the `/wp-content/plugins/kraan-ai-assistant` directory,
    or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
 3. Navigate to the ‘Kraan AI Chat’ menu in the WordPress dashboard.
 4. Enter your OpenAI API Key and configure your design preferences.

## FAQ

### Do I need an OpenAI API Key?

Yes, you need your own OpenAI API Key. We recommend using the `gpt-4o-mini` model
for fast and cost-effective results.

### Does it work with multi-site or different themes?

Yes, the plugin dynamically checks for WooCommerce or Autotelex and adapts its search
capabilities accordingly.
