Checked topics: * Impressum: mandatory disclosures for Austria/Germany, plus VAT ID and e-mail * Datenschutzerklärung, AGB and Widerrufsrecht/Rücktrittsrecht (the FAGG/BGB right of withdrawal), compared against what the shop actually loads * Trackers that fire before the cookie-banner is confirmed, and whether the “reject” button actually works * Server location of loaded services, and tracker subdomains cloaked behind the shop’s own hostname (CNAME cloaking) * Grundpreis, shipping cost and delivery time on product pages * Payment providers shown only in the cart or checkout * Wording of the order button and, where it applies, the withdrawal button * Pre-ticked consent checkboxes, and outdated legal references still cited in the texts (for example an expired framework) * Whether the legal texts read like a template copied from the other country’s law * Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA under BaFG/BFSG) and dark patterns (countdowns, pre- ticked add-ons, costs added late) on homepage, product page and checkout: the finding, count and legal basis are free; the page-by-page detail needs a Watchdog or Agentur subscription at konformia.at The plugin does not label anything a violation, and it is not legal advice. It writes nothing to the shop, does not suggest wording, and does not store credentials. Ownership is proven only through a randomly generated secret that is served over a publicly readable route of this shop and matched by konformia.at itself. Which of the above actually run depends on the chosen country: a few checks apply only in Austria or only in Germany, since the underlying law differs. Usage: under Tools -> Shop prüfen, choose the country and click “Shop jetzt prüfen”. The plugin then polls konformia.at for progress and shows the numbers plus the link to the full report. Upload the plugin folder to wp-content/plugins/, or install it as a ZIP file. 2. Activate the plugin under “Plugins”. 3. In wp-admin, go to “Tools -> Shop prüfen”, choose the country, and click “Shop jetzt prüfen”. ## FAQ ### Does the check cost anything? The initial report is free, one report per shop every 30 days. ### How does konformia.at know this shop belongs to me? On activation, the plugin creates a random secret and serves it at /wp-json/konformia/ v1/verify. When a check starts, the plugin sends the same secret along, and konformia. at fetches the route itself and compares the two values. Ownership only counts as proven on a match. ### Does the plugin change anything in my shop? No. It does not read content from the shop and does not write anything to it. It only triggers the scan at konformia.at and shows its numbers and report link in wp-admin. ### Where does the full report live? It sits at a separate, non-discoverable address at konformia.at and is not copied into the shop. The link stays saved in wp-admin even after the underlying check has long since finished. ### The plugin reports an error even though the shop is online. Why? The most common reason: the shop is not publicly reachable, for example because of a password on the front page, a maintenance page, a firewall, or a staging environment without a public address. In that case, ownership proof fails because konformia. at cannot reach this shop’s /wp-json/konformia/v1/verify route from outside, and an error message appears instead of a result. The plugin itself is not broken in this case. ### How often can I check a shop before it costs anything? One check per shop is free for 30 days.
