No external tools, no signup required for the Lite check. * **AI Readiness Score (0–100)** — calculated from your own robots.txt, llms.txt, and a handful of on-page signals AI systems use to understand and cite a page * **Dashboard widget** — see your score at a glance every time you log in * **AI crawler check** — flags if GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot (ChatGPT), ClaudeBot (Claude), PerplexityBot, or Google-Extended (Gemini) are blocked in your own robots.txt * **llms.txt detection** — checks for this emerging, optional standard some sites use to guide AI crawlers * **On-page signals** — FAQ schema, meta description, and heading structure, all of which help AI answer engines quote you directly * **Re-scan on demand** — results are cached (default 12 hours) but you can force a fresh scan anytime * **“Get Full AI Visibility Audit”** — a clearly-marked optional upgrade path to a complete AI visibility audit on the plugin author’s website (webauditaitool. com). That site is operated by the plugin author and is not affiliated with any third-party “WebAudit” product or trademark. #### How it works 1. Install and activate the plugin 2. Open **AI Readiness** in your WordPress admin menu, or check the dashboard widget 3. The plugin fetches your own homepage, robots.txt, and llms.txt to compute your score 4. Fix what’s flagged, or click **Get Full AI Visibility Audit** for the complete report ### External services This plugin fetches three URLs on your own site — your homepage, `/robots.txt`, and `/llms.txt` (all via `wp_remote_get()` to your site’s own domain) — to compute the AI Readiness Score shown in your dashboard. No data from these fetches is sent anywhere; the requests stay between your server and itself. The **“Get Full AI Visibility Audit”** button is a plain outbound link, followed only if you click it. It opens the plugin author’s website (https://webauditaitool. com/audit by default, configurable under **AI Readiness Settings**) in a new tab, passing your homepage URL and Lite AI Readiness Score as URL query parameters so the destination page can be pre-filled. No request is made to this service unless you click the button. The destination site is operated by the plugin author. No — Kedrel AI Search Readiness Checker only fetches pages on your own site: your homepage, your `robots.txt`, and your `llms.txt`. It never fetches anything from another domain. ### Why would an AI crawler be blocked in my robots.txt? Some SEO plugins, security plugins, or “block AI scrapers” settings add `Disallow` rules for bots like GPTBot without you realizing it. That may be intentional (some site owners don’t want their content used for AI training) — this plugin just reports what it finds so you can decide. ### What’s llms.txt? An emerging, optional convention (similar in spirit to robots.txt) some sites use to give AI crawlers a curated summary of their most important content. It’s not yet a widely required standard, so a missing llms.txt is a minor note, not a critical issue. ### Where does “Get Full AI Visibility Audit” send me? To the plugin author’s full-audit service at webauditaitool.com/audit by default. That destination can be changed under **AI Readiness Settings**.
