Create products manually with title, description, categories, main image and gallery. Visitors can add products to My Selection, adjust quantities and send the complete selection as a single inquiry by email or, when enabled, WhatsApp. Prices are optional. The site owner can enable or disable price display globally. Internal data identifiers are retained for compatibility with earlier test installations and the Pro add-on. ### Privacy The customer selection is stored in the visitor’s browser using localStorage until the visitor submits an inquiry. KataPeek does not store inquiry form submissions in the WordPress database. Email delivery uses the WordPress `wp_mail()` function. To reduce automated abuse of the public inquiry form, KataPeek temporarily stores non-reversible hashes derived from the submitted email address and request IP address. These short-lived transients are used only for rate limiting and do not contain the raw email address or IP address. KataPeek adds suggested text to the WordPress Privacy Policy guide. ### External services KataPeek does not contact WhatsApp automatically. If the site owner enters a WhatsApp number in the plugin settings, a visitor can choose the “Send by WhatsApp” button. Only after that click, the visitor’s browser opens `https://wa.me/` with a pre-filled message containing the selected product titles, quantities, displayed prices when available, public product URLs and the optional message entered by the visitor. At that point the visitor is interacting with WhatsApp/Meta and their terms and privacy policy apply. Upload and activate KataPeek. 2. The plugin creates Catalog, My Selection and How It Works pages when equivalent pages do not already exist. Existing pages are never overwritten. 3. Open KataPeek > Settings and set the recipient email and optional WhatsApp number. 4. Add products under KataPeek > Products. 5. Configure KataPeek > Showcase if you want a compact product section on a home page or landing page. 6. Run a complete test of selection and inquiry delivery before publishing the site. ## FAQ ### Is KataPeek an e-commerce plugin? No. It does not provide checkout, online payments, payment gateways, shipping, taxes or order totals. It is a catalog with customer selection and inquiry requests. ### Does the plugin store inquiry submissions? No. Inquiry form submissions are sent by email and are not stored by KataPeek in the WordPress database. Short-lived non-reversible hashes may be stored temporarily for rate limiting. ### Why can a catalog email go to spam? KataPeek sends email through WordPress `wp_mail()`. Delivery depends on the site’s mail configuration and sender reputation.
