It was made for FeG churches (Free Evangelical Churches) in Germany, but every church can use it for free. * Sermon post type with speaker, topic, bible book and bible passage. * All 66 books of the Bible in canonical order (German names), chosen in the editor with an ordered checkbox list. * Topic groups with one image per group. Sermons without a featured image use the image of their group. * HTML5 audio player. No external services, no tracking. * Archive with filters for speaker, topic and bible book, plus expandable topic groups. * Shortcode `[feg_predigten_slider anzahl="6"]`: latest sermons as tiles with a player. * Shortcode `[feg_predigten_archiv]`: archive with filters on any page. * Optional Yoast SEO helpers: sermon description as meta description, thin taxonomy archives set to noindex. * Compatible with existing data from Advanced Sermons (post type `sermons`, its taxonomies and audio / passage fields). * Translation ready. The plugin is free. If it helps your church, a donation is welcome (link on the settings page; the notice can be hidden). **Not official:** Kanzelbuch is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Bund Freier evangelischer Gemeinden in Deutschland KdöR. “FeG” only describes who the plugin was made for. #### Privacy and external services The plugin does not contact any external server and does not collect personal data. Audio files are played from your own media library or the URL you enter. #### Daily use * **Add a sermon:** Sermons Add new sermon. Enter the title and a short text, choose the audio file in the box “Sermon details” (“Select audio” or paste a URL) and type the bible passage (e.g. Luke 15:1-7). * **Speaker and topic:** tick or add them in the boxes “Speakers” and “Topics” on the right. * **Bible books:** tick one or more books in the box “Bible books” (Old / New Testament, in biblical order). * **Image:** set a featured image, or leave it empty. Then the image of the topic group is used, and if there is none, the default image from the settings. * **Topic groups:** under Sermons Topic groups create a group and choose its image. Under Sermons Topics you can assign each topic to a group. * **On the website:** visitors filter the archive by speaker, topic and bible book, open the topic groups and play the audio directly in the page. * **Show the latest sermons:** `[feg_predigten_slider anzahl="6"]` (1 to 24 sermons). With `gruppe="slug"` only sermons of one topic group are shown. * **Settings** (Sermons Settings): plugin templates on/off, sermons per archive page, accent colour, default image, Yoast noindex option, donation link and QR code. #### Support Questions or problems? Write to eduardwiebe77@gmail.com. Please include your WordPress version and what you did before the problem appeared. ## Installation 1. Install the plugin via Plugins Add New, or upload the ZIP. 2. Activate it. 3. Create topic groups under Sermons Topic groups and give each an image. 4. Add sermons (or keep the ones you already have). 5. Put `[feg_predigten_slider]` or `[feg_predigten_archiv]` on a page. 6. Optional: adjust Sermons Settings. ## FAQ ### Can I use it together with Advanced Sermons? Yes. If the post type and taxonomies already exist, the plugin reuses them. After switching you can deactivate Advanced Sermons; the data stays. ### Can I override the templates? Yes. Copy `templates/single-sermons.php` to `your-theme/feg-predigten/single.php` or `templates/archive-sermons.php` to `your-theme/feg-predigten/archive.php`. You can also switch the plugin templates off in the settings. ### Does the plugin contact external servers? No. ### Is this an official FeG plugin? No. It is a private, free project by a church member. It is not affiliated with the Bund FeG. ### Where can I get help?
