## Description

Kaddora Marketing Popups lets administrators create, preview, publish, pause, duplicate,
and manage popups from the WordPress dashboard. It includes display/targeting settings,
forms and form actions, submission management, CSV export, local analytics, privacy
exporter/eraser integrations, and a template gallery.

### Free functionality

 * Start from a blank canvas or import/edit **Newsletter Minimal** and **Community
   Split**.
 * Use six free elements: **Text, Heading, Image, Button, Form, Shape**. Image selection
   uses the WordPress Media Library.
 * Edit the supported elements’ content and appearance; set background color, dimensions,
radius, overlay, close button, placement, animation, scroll behavior, and auto-
close options exposed by the editor.
 * Popup formats: modal, slide-in, top bar, bottom bar, sidebar, fullscreen, inline.
 * Triggers: immediately, delay, exit intent, scroll depth, inactivity, CSS-selector
   click.
 * Target by device, URL include/exclude rules, referrer/query string, visitor login
   state, WordPress roles, and frequency.
 * Configure supported form fields, success message, redirect, download URL, administrator
email notification, visitor auto-reply, and an administrator-configured webhook.
 * Preview, save, publish, pause, duplicate, delete, and manage popups. Editor controls
   provide JSON import/export.
 * View local analytics and submissions; export submissions as CSV.

### Pro-labelled or locked items in this package

The Pro section keeps visible upgrade links and lock indicators. These are preview/
marketing entries only; their paid implementations are not shipped in the directory
package:

 * **Element section:** Video, Divider, Icon, Countdown, List, HTML, and Spacer
appear as Pro-labelled upgrade entries. Their element-creation, editing, sanitizing,
and frontend-rendering implementations are not included in this directory plugin.
 * **Popup setting:** The Background image control remains visibly Pro-labelled
as an upgrade entry; background-image selection/storage/rendering is not included
   in the free package.
 * **Templates:** 328 named Pro templates use static preview images and metadata
only. Their editable design/settings payloads and importer implementations are
not included in this package. The two editable/importable templates are Newsletter
Minimal and Community Split. A blank canvas is separately available.

The two free template definitions are in `includes/class-kaddora-marketing-popups-
templates.php`. `includes/templates/campaigns.json` contains only Pro preview metadata(
slug, name, category, thumbnail, and JPG path), not designs/settings. The catalog
loader validates metadata; the server importer accepts only the two free slugs.

**Guideline 5 separation:** the Pro element/background-image entries are upgrade
signposts only; their implementations and editable Pro designs are not shipped here.
The six free elements and two free templates are usable without a license check.
WordPress.org makes the final compliance decision.

### Templates and artwork

The gallery contains **330 named designs** (2 editable free templates and 328 Pro
preview cards), plus a blank canvas. The ZIP includes 14 campaign PNGs, 30 mockup
JPGs and 328 per-template static JPG previews. The distribution contains the generated
raster assets; the development-only Python/Pillow artwork-generation scripts and
the separate Pro template source catalog are not included and are not required to
install or run the plugin.

### Shortcodes

 * `[kaddora_pbk_popup id="123"]` — render a popup by ID.
 * `[kaddora_pbk_trigger id="123" label="Open popup"]` — render a button that opens
   a popup by ID.

Replace `123` with an existing popup ID. Only Kaddora-prefixed shortcodes are registered.
If existing post/page content uses `[pbk_popup]` or `[pbk_trigger]`, replace those
tags with `[kaddora_pbk_popup]` or `[kaddora_pbk_trigger]` respectively.

### Data, privacy, and external connections

 * Popup definitions/settings, submissions, and analytics are stored in the site’s
   WordPress database.
 * A form submission stores the submitted field values, popup ID, page URL, referrer
URL, browser user-agent, timestamp, and a one-way keyed hash derived from the
visitor IP address (not the raw IP address in the submission row).
 * Local analytics store popup ID, event type, timestamp, and page URL with query
strings/fragments removed. Current analytics rows do not retain visitor session
IDs. First-party cookies and browser session storage may be used for display
   frequency.
 * **Google Analytics (optional):** No Google Analytics script is loaded by this
plugin. When the administrator enables the popup’s Google Analytics events option,
the site’s existing `gtag` function is available, and Do Not Track does not block
tracking under the plugin setting, selected popup event names plus the popup
ID and title are passed to that `gtag` function. The site’s own Google Analytics
setup controls transmission to Google. See [Google Analytics Terms of Service](https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/)
   and [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).
 * **Email:** Administrator notifications and optional visitor auto-replies are
sent with WordPress `wp_mail()`. The actual mail transport/provider is configured
by the site owner; email content includes the applicable submission data or configured
auto-reply text. WordPress does not choose a separate mail service on the plugin’s
   behalf.
 * **Administrator-configured webhook:** If a popup has a webhook URL, the plugin
sends a POST request to that destination after a form submission. The JSON payload
includes submitted field values, popup ID, popup title, and the page URL. The
destination is selected by the site administrator, not by Kaddora. Configure
only trusted HTTPS endpoints and review the recipient service’s terms and privacy
   policy before enabling this feature.
 * The plugin does not send local analytics or form submissions to a Kaddora analytics
server during normal operation. Google Analytics forwarding and configured webhooks
are external data flows; WordPress mail uses the site’s configured mail transport.
 * Retention cleanup can be set to 30, 90, 180, or 365 days; the default keeps records
indefinitely. An optional uninstall setting deletes plugin tables/data. WordPress
personal-data export and erase integrations are included.

The site owner is responsible for privacy-policy disclosures, any required consent/
legal basis, retention and security choices, and responding to data requests. The
plugin’s suggested privacy text is only a starting point, not legal advice. For
a webhook, consult the terms and privacy notice of the specific endpoint service
chosen by the administrator.

### Source and licenses

The plugin’s declared license is GPL-2.0-or-later (GNU GPL version 2 or, at your
option, any later version). `LICENSE.txt` contains the complete GPLv2 text. The
license declaration applies only to material the copyright holder owns or is authorized
to license; it does not grant rights to third-party material.

    ```
    THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt documents build-tool and optional system-font notices relevant to the included artwork. The maintainer must independently verify and retain supporting rights records for every included image, font-derived output, and other third-party component. File hashes, when maintained privately, identify files but do not independently establish copyright ownership or redistribution permission.
    ```

The 44 campaign/mockup raster assets and 328 static Pro preview snapshots are distributed
as image files. They do not contain editable Pro template definitions. Python/Pillow
and optional system fonts were used only in the maintainer’s build environment;
neither Python tooling nor the separate Pro design catalog is required or included
for runtime use. `THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt` documents the relevant build-tool and
optional system-font notices. No Depicter code, artwork, or license grant is included
or implied.

The distributed PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and JSON source files are readable and are
included in the ZIP. The excluded Python/Pillow artwork-generation scripts were
used only in the artwork preparation workflow; they are not required by WordPress
at runtime, and they do not minify or bundle the PHP/JavaScript/CSS runtime code.
The ZIP contains the resulting static image assets. This package does not provide
a public repository URL for the excluded artwork-generation scripts; if public source
access to those tools is required for review or reproducibility, the maintainer
must publish them and add the actual repository URL before submission. WordPress
APIs are provided by the site’s installation. The GPL license does not grant rights
to third-party trademarks or services.

## Installation

 1. Go to **Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin** in WordPress.
 2. Upload this ZIP and activate it.
 3. Open **Kaddora Marketing Popups** in the dashboard.
 4. Create a blank popup or import Newsletter Minimal or Community Split; add supported
elements and configure its display/form settings.
 5. Preview, save, and publish. Use the popup ID with a shortcode when manual embedding
    is required.

## FAQ

### Which elements/templates are free?

The free elements are Text, Heading, Image, Button, Form, and Shape. Newsletter
Minimal and Community Split are the two importable templates; a blank canvas is
also available. The seven Pro element entries and background-image control are upgrade
signposts only; their paid implementations are not included. The 328 Pro templates
are static previews only.

### Are the older shortcodes supported?

No. The unprefixed `[pbk_popup]` and `[pbk_trigger]` aliases are no longer registered
to avoid global-name collisions. Replace them in saved content with `[kaddora_pbk_popup]`
and `[kaddora_pbk_trigger]` respectively.

### Where does data go?

Popup data, submissions, and local analytics are stored in WordPress. Form submissions
may be emailed or sent to an endpoint configured by the administrator. Optional
Google Analytics forwarding requires the setting to be enabled and `gtag` to be
available.

### Is WordPress.org approval guaranteed?

No. WordPress.org makes that decision. The package separates metadata-only Pro previews
from free templates and omits Pro element implementations. Verify asset rights and
test the plugin in WordPress before submission.
