Visitors press a button, see and hear a lifelike assistant and can speak or type in their own language. The assistant answers questions about your business and, on WooCommerce stores, about the products in your catalogue. This plugin is a connector for the Inter Reception service (https://interreception. com). You need an Inter Reception account to use it. A free plan is available; heavier use is paid on a prepaid, usage-based balance managed in your Inter Reception panel. **What the plugin does** * Adds a button to your site that opens the avatar assistant. * Lets you choose the button position, colour, text and language. * Works with WooCommerce stores (the assistant can present your products) and with any WordPress site. **Branding on the free plan** On the free plan the assistant window shows a small “Inter Reception” strip and logo that link to interreception.com. On paid accounts the strip shows your own business name or a text you choose (or nothing). The plugin itself adds no other links or credits to your site. **How to set it up** 1. In WordPress go to Settings > Inter Reception and press “Connect with Inter Reception”. 2. Sign in (or sign up, a free plan is available) and press Approve. You are sent back to your site with the assistant enabled and, on WooCommerce stores, your products imported. You can still paste an install code by hand from the Web Assistant page of your Inter Reception panel. The plugin is compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage and the block-based cart and checkout. ### External services This plugin connects your site to the Inter Reception service operated by Polaris Digital Platforms EOOD (https://interreception.com). The service is required for the plugin to work. **1. Script on every page where the assistant is enabled** When the assistant is enabled, each page load makes one request to `https://interreception.com/avatar- widget.js` (or another interreception.com subdomain given in your install code). Like any web request, this sends the visitor’s IP address, browser details and the page address to Inter Reception. No conversation data is sent at this stage. **2. When the administrator presses “Connect with Inter Reception”** Only after this button is pressed, the plugin sends your site address and site name to Inter Reception, which then reads your site’s public WooCommerce product list (if WooCommerce is active) to teach the assistant about your products. To prove you own the site, Inter Reception requests one short-lived random value from your site. Nothing is sent when the plugin is merely activated. **3. When a visitor opens the assistant** The assistant opens inside a frame served by Inter Reception. The visitor’s typed messages and, only if the visitor grants microphone permission, their voice are sent to Inter Reception, which processes them with its speech, AI and avatar providers to produce the spoken answer and video. For WooCommerce stores the public product list of your store may be read by Inter Reception to answer product questions. You should mention the assistant in your own privacy policy. ## Installation 1. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` or install it from Plugins > Add New. 2. Activate the plugin. 3. Go to Settings > Inter Reception and press “Connect with Inter Reception” (or paste an install code by hand). ## FAQ ### Do I need an Inter Reception account? Yes. The assistant is provided by the Inter Reception service. A free plan is available. ### Does it work without WooCommerce? Yes. WooCommerce is only needed if you want the assistant to present your products. ### Does the assistant record visitors? The assistant listens only after a visitor presses the microphone button and the browser asks for and receives permission.
