Visitors ask a question, and the assistant answers from the documents you have uploaded to your InstantAISupport account: your FAQs, policies, price lists, product catalogues or service descriptions. The assistant answers only from the content you provide. When the answer is not in your documents, it says so and directs the visitor to your team, rather than inventing a price or a delivery date. This plugin is a client for the InstantAISupport service. An account on instantaisupport. com is required; see the External services section below. #### Key features * Connect the chat assistant to your site with a single Data Key. * Answers drawn only from your own uploaded documents (PDF, TXT, CSV, Markdown). * Configure the widget title, welcome message and language from your WordPress dashboard. * Replies in the visitor’s own language. * Loaded as a deferred script, so it does not block page rendering. * Available 24 hours a day, including outside your working hours. ### External services This plugin connects to the InstantAISupport service, operated by InstantAISupport( instantaisupport.com), to provide the chat assistant. The plugin does not work without it. **What the service does** It hosts the chat widget script and generates answers to visitor questions, based on the documents you upload to your InstantAISupport account. **What is sent, and when** 1. On every front-end page view where a Data Key is configured, the visitor’s browser loads the widget script from https://instantaisupport.com/widget.js. As with any externally hosted script, this request includes the visitor’s IP address, browser user agent, and the address of the page loading the script. 2. When a visitor opens the chat and sends a message, their browser sends the following to the InstantAISupport API: 3. * the message text the visitor typed; * a randomly generated session identifier, issued by the service and stored in the visitor’s browser so the conversation continues across page loads; * the Data Key configured in the plugin settings, which identifies your account; * the address of the site the message was sent from. No data is sent when a visitor does not open the chat, beyond the script request described in point 1. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the ZIP file from the Plugins screen in WordPress. 2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu. 3. Create an account at https://instantaisupport.com and contact support@instantaisupport. com to activate it and enable document uploads. 4. Upload your documents in your InstantAISupport dashboard, then open the Chat Widget section and generate a Data Key. 5. In WordPress, go to Settings > InstantAISupport Chat, paste the Data Key, adjust the title, language and welcome message, and save. ## FAQ ### Do I need an account on instantaisupport.com? Yes. The plugin is a client for that service and does nothing without a Data Key from an active account. See the External services section for what the service does and what data it receives. ### How do I get a Data Key? Sign up at instantaisupport.com, contact support@instantaisupport.com to have your account activated, upload your documents, then generate a key from the Chat Widget section of your dashboard. ### Which document formats are supported? PDF, TXT, CSV and Markdown (.md). Documents are uploaded in your InstantAISupport dashboard, not through WordPress. ### Can the assistant answer questions that are not in my documents? No. It answers only from the content you upload. When the answer is not there, it tells the visitor the information is not available and suggests contacting you. ### Does the plugin slow down my site? The widget script is enqueued with the defer attribute and loaded in the footer, so it does not block page rendering. ### Can I change the greeting, title or language? Yes, all three are set on the plugin settings page. ### How do I remove the chat assistant? Clear the Data Key field and save, or deactivate the plugin.
