#### WooCommerce Integration

When WooCommerce is active, inqiro automatically crawls your products (including
prices, images, and descriptions) and can recommend products with interactive cards

This plugin connects to external services to function:

**inqiro License Server (inqiro.de)**
 The plugin communicates with the inqiro license
server for license validation, usage tracking, and AI request proxying. Chat messages
are transmitted to this server for processing.

**OpenAI (default AI provider)**
 Chat messages are forwarded to OpenAI’s API for
generating responses based on your website content.

**ip-api.com (geo lookup for visitor statistics, opt-in)**
 When “Besucher-Geolocation”
is explicitly enabled in Settings > Privacy, the plugin sends the visitor’s IP address
to ip-api.com via HTTPS to determine country and city for geographic chat statistics.
This feature is disabled by default and no data is sent unless the site administrator
opts in. No other data is transmitted.

## Installation

 1. Upload the `inqiro` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
 3. Follow the 3-step setup wizard:
 4.  * Enter your license key (or get a free one automatically)
     * Choose your chatbot name, colors, and tone
     * Scan your website content
 5. The chat widget appears on your site immediately

#### Minimum Requirements

 * WordPress 6.0 or higher
 * PHP 8.0 or higher

## FAQ

### Do I need an API key?

For Free and Pro plans, no – inqiro uses shared API keys managed by the license 
server. Business plans can optionally use their own OpenAI or Anthropic API keys
for higher limits and full control.

### What content does inqiro crawl?

By default, inqiro crawls all published pages and posts. You can configure which
post types to include and exclude specific URLs. WooCommerce products are automatically
included when WooCommerce is active.

### Does the chatbot make up answers?

No. inqiro only answers based on your actual website content. If the information
isn’t on your site, it will honestly say so and suggest contacting you directly.

### Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes. inqiro includes consent dialogs, configurable data retention periods, AI usage
disclosure, and links to your privacy policy. Chat data is stored locally in your
WordPress database.

### Can I customize the appearance?

Yes. You can set the primary color, position (bottom-right or bottom-left), bot 
name, avatar, and greeting message. Business plans also support custom CSS.

### What languages are supported?

inqiro supports German and English out of the box, with automatic language detection
available. The AI responds in the configured language.

### How many chats are included?

Free: 50/month, Pro: 5,000/month, Business: 20,000/month.
