It checks your published content across five categories (Access, Identity, Structure, Evidence, and Structured Data) and turns the results into an overall 0–100 score, category scores, and findings with recommended next steps. Scans run on your own WordPress server. No account is required, and your site content is not sent to IF Media or an AI provider. #### What is AI Readiness? AI Readiness is how clearly and consistently your site presents signals that IF Media AOE can evaluate locally across Access, Identity, Structure, Evidence, and Structured Data. The five categories are explained below. IF Media AOE is a readiness assessment. It does not measure or guarantee AI rankings, citations, recommendations, visibility, or inclusion in AI-generated answers. #### What IF Media AOE checks * **Access** – Whether WordPress allows search-engine indexing, and whether scanned content is public and not password-protected. * **Identity** – Your site name and tagline, authorship where applicable, and the organization or person profile you confirm in the plugin. * **Structure** – Whether content has a title, readable body text, and a sensible heading outline. * **Evidence** – Publication and modified dates and, where applicable, outbound references in your content. * **Structured Data** – JSON-LD the plugin can observe in stored content, including whether it parses. When a comparable entity is observed, identity details can be compared with your confirmed profile. IF Media AOE is not a Google Rich Results test or a full schema.org validator. #### What you get after a scan * An overall **0–100 AI Readiness Score** * Per-category scores and category coverage (a category shows **Not Scored** when it has no applicable checks). A scan can also be complete or partial if some items could not be evaluated. * **Findings** that explain what was observed and recommend what to review next * **Scan history** so you can open previous completed scans and review their scores and findings #### Manual site and page scans Run a site scan or a page scan whenever you choose, make changes, and scan again. Scans cover published posts and pages, WooCommerce products when WooCommerce is active, and supported public custom post types, based on your settings. #### Basic Safe Fix: search visibility If WordPress is set to discourage search engines from indexing your site, IF Media AOE can offer to turn that setting off. Nothing changes until you review and confirm. The change is verified afterward, recorded in the Fix Log, and can be undone while the setting still matches what the plugin applied. This removes WordPress’s request to discourage indexing. It does not guarantee that search engines will crawl, index, or rank your site. #### Readiness Monitoring Use the manual **Check now** workflow to record selected Access, Identity, and Structured Data signals and see whether they change between checks. Monitoring does not affect your score, and it is not a security, malware, vulnerability, or firewall scanner. Automatic monitoring is offered separately in IF Media AOE Pro. #### Identity and Structured Data workspaces Confirm the organization or person your site represents, and inspect the structured data the plugin can observe locally. Your confirmed profile is used for Identity checks that depend on it, and for Structured Data identity-consistency checks when a comparable entity is observed. #### Block editor guidance While editing supported content, the editor panel can preview supported AI Readiness checks for the post you’re working on, without running a full site scan. #### Privacy: local by design Scanning and Readiness Monitoring run on your WordPress server. Your site content is not sent to IF Media or an AI provider for scoring. No IF Media account is required to scan, and no telemetry or analytics are sent to IF Media by default. The Free plugin contacts IF Media only in these user-initiated cases: 1. **Optional deactivation feedback.** If you choose Submit on the deactivation form, the selected reason, an optional comment, the plugin version, and the plugin edition are sent to https://app.ifmedia.ca. It never includes your hostname, installation ID, licence key, or page content. Choosing Skip sends nothing. 2. **Upgrade to Pro.** If you click an Upgrade link, your browser opens IF Media checkout at https://app.ifmedia.ca. Nothing is requested before you click. The Free plugin does not contact an IF Media licensing API. WordPress core, your host, and other plugins may make their own network requests independently of IF Media AOE. It includes manual scanning, scoring, findings and recommendations, the Basic Safe Fix, manual Readiness Monitoring, scan history, the Identity and Structured Data workspaces, block editor guidance, setup, settings, and built-in documentation. IF Media AOE Pro is a separate plugin, not distributed on WordPress.org. It is offered separately with scheduled scans, automatic monitoring, issue-first diagnostics, trends, and professional AI Readiness reporting. A licence key cannot unlock those capabilities inside this Free plugin. #### Source The editor JavaScript source is included in `assets/editor/src`. Install IF Media AOE from the WordPress plugin directory, or upload the plugin package through Plugins Add New. 2. Activate IF Media AOE on a single site (network activation is not supported). 3. Open **IF Media AOE** in the admin menu. 4. Complete the first-run setup, or skip it and configure the plugin later. 5. Run your first scan and review your score, findings, and recommendations. ## FAQ ### What is AI Readiness? In IF Media AOE, AI Readiness refers to website signals the plugin can evaluate locally across Access, Identity, Structure, Evidence, and Structured Data. It is not an AI ranking or visibility score. ### Will IF Media AOE get my site into ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, or other AI answers? No, and it doesn’t measure whether that happens. IF Media AOE does not measure or guarantee AI rankings, citations, recommendations, visibility, or inclusion in AI- generated answers. It helps you find and improve the site signals it evaluates. Whether a search engine or AI system crawls, uses, or shows your site is decided by those systems. ### Does IF Media AOE send my content to an AI provider? No. Analysis runs on your WordPress server. Your content is not sent to an AI provider or to IF Media for scoring, and no IF Media account is needed to scan. ### What external services does the Free plugin contact? None for scanning. It contacts IF Media only if you submit optional deactivation feedback, and clicking an Upgrade link opens IF Media checkout in your browser. The Free plugin does not call the IF Media licensing API. ### Will IF Media AOE change my site automatically? No. The included Basic Safe Fix is applied only after you explicitly confirm it. It is verified, recorded in the Fix Log, and can be undone while the setting still matches what the plugin applied. ### What does the search visibility Safe Fix do? It turns off WordPress’s “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” setting. That removes the request to discourage indexing; it does not guarantee that search engines will crawl, index, or rank your site. ### Is Readiness Monitoring a security scanner? No. It records selected Access, Identity, and Structured Data signals and can identify changes between checks. It is not a malware scanner, vulnerability scanner, firewall, or security certification. ### Does IF Media AOE validate schema markup? It analyzes the JSON-LD it can observe in stored content, including whether it parses and how identity details line up with your confirmed profile. It does not replace a full schema.org validator or Google’s Rich Results Test. ### What is included in Free versus Pro?
