Keep WooCommerce as checkout. Do not take orders inside Discord. Do not paste invite links after every sale. Map a product or variation once; when the order is Processing or Completed, the buyer gets access. Cancelled or refunded orders can pull that access back. This plugin is a free connector. It does not process payments. Connecting the plugin sends data from your WordPress site to HopMembers so access can be provisioned after purchase. When you click Connect, the plugin sends your connect code, site URL, and site name to HopMembers over HTTPS (`https://hopmembers.com/api/apps/woocommerce/plugin/connect`). After you connect, WooCommerce delivers order webhooks (create, update, delete, and status changes such as processing, completed, cancelled, and refunded) to HopMembers(` https://hopmembers.com/api/webhooks/woocommerce`). HopMembers also requests your product catalog from this site using a store-specific access token. A HopMembers account is required. Install and activate WooCommerce. 2. Upload the `hopmembers-for-woocommerce` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the zip from Plugins Add New Upload Plugin. 3. Activate HopMembers for WooCommerce. 4. In HopMembers, open Apps WooCommerce and generate a connect code. 5. In WordPress, go to WooCommerce HopMembers, paste the code, and click Connect. 6. Return to HopMembers and map products to Discord, Telegram, or WhatsApp channels. ## FAQ ### Can I sell Discord access with WooCommerce? Yes. Connect the store, map a WooCommerce product (or variation) to a Discord channel in HopMembers, and paid orders unlock access automatically. ### Does this work for Telegram and WhatsApp too? Yes. The same mapping flow supports Telegram channels/groups and WhatsApp group or private access — not Discord only. ### Do customers order from Discord? No. Customers pay on your WooCommerce checkout. HopMembers only grants community access after the order is paid. ### Can I map product variations? Yes. Map the whole product or a specific variation so different SKUs can unlock different communities. ### What happens if I refund an order? HopMembers can revoke the mapped Discord, Telegram, or WhatsApp access when WooCommerce reports the order as cancelled or refunded. ### Do I need a HopMembers account? Yes. This plugin only connects WooCommerce to HopMembers. Create an account at [hopmembers.com](https://hopmembers.com) first. ### What data leaves my WordPress site? After you connect, HopMembers receives your site URL, site name, product catalog, and WooCommerce order webhook payloads so it can grant or revoke community access. No. There is no setting for this, and the plugin always talks to https://hopmembers. com. Developers running HopMembers locally can override the origin with the `hopmembers_for_woocommerce_api_base` filter. Overrides must use HTTPS unless the `hopmembers_for_woocommerce_allow_url` filter also explicitly permits the URL, which exists only for local development. ### What happens if I deactivate the plugin? Deactivating the plugin does not disconnect your store. Use the Disconnect button on WooCommerce HopMembers, or uninstall the plugin, to remove webhooks and credentials. ### Does this work with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS)? Yes.
