It does this by writing Open Graph (og:*) meta tags into the document head. It is deliberately small and safe to run alongside other plugins. In the default “ Auto” mode it detects when your theme or SEO plugin already outputs Open Graph and stands down, so you never end up with two competing sets of tags. Features: * Outputs og:title, og:type, og:url, og:site_name, og:description and og:image. * Covers posts, pages, public custom post types (WooCommerce products included), term archives, the search page and the front page. * Smart image resolution: the featured image first, then the first image found in the content, then a configurable default image URL. * Choice of the “property” or “name” attribute for the tags. * Auto duplicate protection: it adds nothing when a known Open Graph producer is active (Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework, Jetpack, GMC SEO API, or a YOOtheme theme), leaving a single HTML comment for troubleshooting. * Output mode: Auto (recommended), Always output, or Off. Upload the `gmcfuerte-social-meta-tags` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the ZIP from Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin. 2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress. 3. Configure it under Settings -> Gmcfuerte Social Meta Tags. ## FAQ ### Will this duplicate the Open Graph tags my SEO plugin already adds? No. In the default “Auto” mode the plugin checks for a known Open Graph producer ( Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework, Jetpack, GMC SEO API, or a YOOtheme theme). If one is present it stands down and outputs nothing except a single HTML comment for troubleshooting. Choose “Always output” only if you specifically want GMC to emit its tags regardless. ### Which image is used for og:image? The featured image if the post has one; otherwise the first image found in the post content; otherwise the default image URL you set on the settings page. ### Should the tags use property=”og:…” or name=”og:…”? Both are widely accepted. The default is `property`, which is the Open Graph specification’s attribute. You can switch to `name` on the settings page if a particular tool you use prefers it. ### Does it output Twitter Card tags? Not in this free edition. Twitter Cards and Facebook App ID are available in the Pro edition at https://www.fuerteventuratv.net/en/cms ### Does it work with WooCommerce or custom post types? Yes.
