Features include: * Donation forms with one-time and recurring giving. * Ticketed events with ticket tiers, add-ons, attendee information, and optional volunteer assignments. * Stripe Connect onboarding for new or existing Stripe accounts. * Stripe test mode for end-to-end payment testing with Stripe test accounts and cards. * Optional donor fee coverage, with the option enabled or disabled per campaign. * Payment, refund, and transaction reporting tools. * CSV transaction import with column mapping and duplicate-order overwrite review. * Customizable donor emails, receipts, and a donor portal. * A responsive volunteer check-in application with QR scanning, manual attendee lookup, and offline check-in queueing. * Gutenberg blocks for donation forms, event checkout, and the donor portal. Each organization connects its own Stripe account. Stripe is responsible for payment processing, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks for that connected account. GiveBlocks charges a 1% platform fee on each successful donation or ticket transaction, separate from Stripe processing fees. Campaign editors can optionally let supporters cover the applicable processing and platform fees. #### External services This plugin connects to the following external services only when the site administrator configures or uses the related functionality. * **GiveBlocks Platform API** (`https://api.giveblocks.net`) is used to claim and authenticate a WordPress site, create Stripe Connect onboarding links, connect an existing Stripe account, create payment intents and subscriptions, process refunds, and retrieve connected-account status. It receives the site URL and contact email during site claiming/onboarding; the connected Stripe account ID; and the transaction amount, currency, campaign ID, payment intent or subscription ID, and refund reason when applicable. The API applies a 1% GiveBlocks platform fee to successful donation and ticket transactions. Recurring donations also send the donor name and email so Stripe can create the customer and subscription. The service is required for Stripe Connect payment functionality. Payment card information is submitted directly to Stripe through Stripe’s payment interface; it is not stored by this plugin. Stripe receives the payment and connected-account data needed to process the transaction. Upload the plugin files to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress Plugins screen. 2. Activate **GiveBlocks Donation & Events Platform** through the Plugins screen in WordPress. 3. Open **GiveBlocks > Organization Profile** and enter the organization’s details. 4. Open **GiveBlocks > Settings**, claim the site, choose live payments or Stripe test mode, and connect the organization’s Stripe account. 5. Create a campaign under **GiveBlocks > Campaigns**. 6. Add a GiveBlocks block to a page, or use the campaign’s direct link. ## FAQ ### Do I need a Stripe account? Yes. Each organization connects its own Stripe account through Stripe Connect. The organization can create a new account or connect an eligible existing Stripe account. ### Can I test payments before accepting live payments? Yes. Enable Stripe test mode in GiveBlocks settings, connect a Stripe test account, and use Stripe test cards. Test transactions do not move real money. ### Who receives the payment fees, refunds, and disputes? The connected organization’s Stripe account is responsible for Stripe processing fees, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks. GiveBlocks applies a 1% platform fee through the connected-account payment flow. ### Can donors cover transaction fees? Yes. Campaign editors can enable or disable the optional fee-coverage choice for each donation form or ticket event. ### Does the plugin store card numbers? No. Card entry is handled by Stripe’s payment interface. The plugin stores transaction records and Stripe identifiers needed for reporting, receipts, refunds, and ticket fulfillment. ### How do I check in ticket holders? Open the Volunteer Check-In link from the GiveBlocks menu on a phone or tablet.
