So what’s the advantage of this plugin over the original All in One SEO Pack ?

The usage is simpler as the keywords field is disabled by default. And the WordPress excerpts can be turned of for descriptions.

Can I turn the keywords field back on?

Yes you can. Check out ‘Add keywords field to post editing screen’ in plugin options.

Why would anyone want to turn of the WordPress excerpts for the descriptions?

If you are doing some custom stuff (for example) with your templates, it might come handy. We need it.

What about the rest of the original plugin functionality?

It’s all there.

Reviews

Simple to use and light-weight

I was looking for a basic SEO plugin for WordPress. No bloatware. No adware. No nagging. This plugin is simple to use, simple to set up and works great.

Favorite SEO Plugin for client-facing projects

I used to use some other well-known SEO plugins for small projects, but found myself repeating to my clients that only 2 settings were really important for them to add to each page/post: title and description (I use another plugin to automatically add keywords based on content). I even went so far as to hide some settings in other plugins with css or javascript to get clients to stop fiddling with them.

This plugin solves those problems for me, and seems to keep up with other SEO plugins I’ve used (for small projects). Now, it is my go-to solution for giving my clients an easy, no hassle SEO solution they can understand with no direction.

I only request that the author add support for custom post types – then, it would probably be my go-to solution for all client projects.
