Installation

Impexium SSO plugin uses the Impexium RestAPI to authenticate users. This allows for Single Sign on Capabilities, where users can sign into WordPress using their Impexium credentials (username and password). For this plugin to work, you need to have a service available.

This plugin requires an Impexium Team or Pro subscription.

  1. Unzip and upload the folder contents of fs-impexium-auth.zip to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Go into the WordPress Dashboard and click on ‘Impexium’ in the left sidebar.
  4. Configure the following fields on the page to connect your WordPress website with your Impexium instance:
    a. Web API URL – Impexium Routing API URL
    b. API AppName
    c. API AppKey
    d. Client API URL
    e. Client API Application ID
    f. Client API Application Password
    g. Client API Admin User Email
    h. Client API Admin User Password

Does it create new users in WordPress?

If a user logs in using their Impexium credentials and the user does not exist in WordPress, a new WordPress user will be created.

What should I consider when using this plugin for GDPR compliance?

The Impexium Single-Sign On plugin uses a cookie to save a unique identifier for logged in users and stores the user’s email address from Impexium as a WordPress user. This plugin does not store any additional personal information from Impexium.

How do I reset user passwords?

Through this plugin, user passwords will remain in Impexium and will not be stored in WordPress. Password changes and resets must be done through Impexium.
