## Description
Formrio Addons for WPForms (FAWPF) is a modular enhancement suite for the WPForms
builder. It ships as a set of **free addons** — new form fields, a submission-storage
feature, and workflow integrations — that you switch on and off from the dedicated**
Formrio Addons Addons** tab. Whatever you enable appears instantly inside the WPForms
form builder with the standard options you already know.
Built as a lightweight layer on top of [WPForms](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpforms-lite/)(
Lite or Pro), it adds professional input types, keeps every submission searchable
in your own database, and pushes entries to Webhooks and Telegram — no new framework,
no learning curve.

#### Phone
A dedicated phone-number field with three ready-made formats:
* **International** — country selector with a separate, always-visible dial code
and a full international number format.
* **Smart** — searchable country dropdown with strict, real-number validation as
the visitor types.
* **US** — automatic `(000) 000-0000` input mask.
Optionally detect the visitor’s country by IP (GeoIP) and enable front-end validation
that blocks submission until a valid number is entered. Works with the required-
field setting like any other WPForms field.
#### Address
Collect full postal addresses without stacking five separate fields. Choose a **
US** or **International** layout, and the field renders the appropriate address
lines (street, city, state/province, postal code, country) inside one tidy field
group.
#### Date Time
A combined date-and-time input with **17+ format presets** — from `m/d/Y` and `Y-
m-d` to `d/m/Y h:i A` and 24-hour time. Use it as a date picker only, a time picker
only, or both, with mask-guided entry and an interactive calendar.
#### Restrict Date
A date picker you fully control:
* Minimum and/or maximum date — picked on a calendar **or** set relative to today(
for example “today + 30 days”, “today − 6 months”, “+2 years”).
* Block whole weekdays (e.g. no weekends).
* Exclude individual dates (one per line, `yyyy-mm-dd`).
Perfect for booking forms, event sign-ups, and any form that should reject out-of-
range dates.
#### Country List
Two display styles:
* **Smart** — an international-style country picker with flag and a searchable
country dropdown.
* **List** — a simple native dropdown of all countries.
Choose a default country, and the field stores the selected value cleanly with the
rest of the submission.
#### Star Rating
Let visitors rate anything — products, sessions, support, content — with a clickable
star field. Choose from multiple styles and sizes to match your form’s look.
#### IBAN
An International Bank Account Number input that **auto-formats the number into readable
groups** as the visitor types, making long IBANs easier to enter correctly.
#### Website / URL
A dedicated field for collecting website and URL addresses, so the input is validated
as a proper URL before it is accepted.
#### Simple Captcha
Keep bots out without reCAPTCHA friction. Write your own question (for example “
What is 2 + 2?”) and define **one or more accepted answers** — visitors simply type
the correct reply.
#### Dynamic Text
Auto-fill a field from **25+ dynamic sources**, including:
* URL GET parameters and query variables
* Post/page ID, title, URL, and post meta
* User ID, email, name, login, role, registration date, and user meta
* Admin email, site URL, current date/time/timestamp, IP address, referrer URL,
user agent, server hostname
* Random numbers/strings, login state, cookies, and session values
Display the result normally, hide it, or show it disabled — handy for lead scoring,
hidden tracking values, and personalized forms.
#### Hidden Field
Carry invisible data with every submission. Give the field any default value — including
WPForms Smart Tags such as `{page_url}` or `{user_email}` — and it is recorded silently
in entries and notifications. The label is only for your own reference and is never
shown to visitors.
#### Honeypot
An invisible anti-spam trap. The field is hidden from real users, but bots that
auto-fill every input trip it — and the submission is quietly rejected as spam.
#### Section Divider
Break long forms into clear, readable sections with a heading and description divider
between groups of fields.
#### Database Entries
Capture every submission in a dedicated table inside **your own WordPress database**,
then manage it from a standalone admin screen:
* List entries per form, with pagination and filtering
* Search submissions and open full entry details
* Mark entries read/unread and update status
* Delete entries individually or in bulk
* Export any form’s entries to **CSV** in one click
No reliance on email, and no data is sent to any third party.
#### Webhooks
Send every submission to any URL — Zapier, Make, Slack, or your own endpoint:
* Configure **multiple named connections per form** from the builder’s **Settings
Webhooks** panel
* Test each connection with a built-in **Send Test** button
* Deliveries run on WPForms’ background task queue, so submitting the form stays
fast
#### Telegram
Push each submission as a formatted message to a Telegram chat or channel:
* Create a bot with @BotFather and paste its token
* Enter the chat ID once per form in **Settings Telegram**
* Verify the setup with the built-in **Send Test** button
* Every new submission is delivered automatically

### External services
Formrio Addons for WPForms connects to the third-party services below only for the
specific features named. Nothing is transmitted unless the relevant addon is enabled
and configured by the site owner, and no data is ever sent to the plugin author.
#### Telegram Bot API
Used by the **Telegram** integration to deliver form-submission notifications to
a chat or channel chosen by the site owner.
* **What is sent:** the submitted form’s field values, the entry ID, and the submission
date/time, formatted into a message and posted to `https://api.telegram.org/bot
/sendMessage` together with the bot token and chat ID configured by the
site owner.
* **When:** every time a form with the Telegram integration enabled and fully configured
is submitted, and when the site owner clicks **Send Test**.

#### ipinfo.io
Used by the **Phone** field when its “Detect visitor’s country by IP (GeoIP)” option
is enabled, to preselect the visitor’s country.
* **What is sent:** the visitor’s IP address is included automatically in the request
made from their browser to `https://ipinfo.io`, which returns the matching country
code.
* **When:** when a form containing a Phone field with GeoIP enabled is loaded in
a visitor’s browser.

#### Webhooks (site-owner-configured endpoint)
The **Webhooks** integration sends submission data to any URL the site owner enters(
for example Zapier, Make, or Slack). Because the destination is chosen by the site
owner and is not a service operated by this plugin, the terms of service and privacy
policy of that destination are yours to review before enabling a webhook.
### Source Code
The human-readable development source lives in the `src/` directory. It is compiled
into the
assets/ directory, which is what WordPress loads at runtime — the distributed
plugin zip ships the built files.
## Installation
1. Install and activate [WPForms](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpforms-lite/) (Lite
or Pro) — Formrio Addons requires it.
2. Upload the `formrio-addons-for-wpforms` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install
the plugin zip via **Plugins Add New Upload Plugin**.
3. Activate **Formrio Addons for WPForms** through the **Plugins** screen in WordPress.
4. Go to **Formrio Addons** in the admin menu to enable the fields, features, and
integrations you want.
5. Open any form in the WPForms builder — your enabled fields and integration settings
are ready to use.
## FAQ
### Do I need the WPForms plugin?
Yes. Formrio Addons for WPForms is an add-on and requires the free WPForms Lite
plugin (or WPForms Pro) to be installed and active.
### Does it work with WPForms Lite, or only Pro?
It works with both WPForms Lite and WPForms Pro. The fields, entries, Webhooks,
and Telegram features are built on WPForms’ public field and builder APIs available
in the free plugin.
### Where do form submissions get stored?
When the **Database Entries** feature is enabled, each submission is saved to a
dedicated table in your own WordPress database. You can view, filter, search, update
status, and export them to CSV from the **Formrio Addons Entries** screen. No data
is sent to any third party.
### How do I send a form to Telegram?
1. Create a bot with [@BotFather](https://t.me/BotFather) and copy its token.
2. Get your chat ID (or add the bot to your channel).
3. In the WPForms builder, open **Settings Telegram**, paste the bot token and chat
ID, then click **Send Test**.
4. Save the form — each new submission is delivered as a message.
### How do I connect a form to a webhook or Zapier?
In the WPForms builder open **Settings Webhooks**, click **Add New Webhook**, name
it, and paste the destination URL. You can add several webhooks per form and test
each one. Deliveries are queued in the background so submitting the form stays fast.
### Can I use the fields conditionally (show/hide based on other fields)?
The fields are standard WPForms fields, so they respect your existing form logic.
For full conditional show/hide behavior, enable WPForms’ own Conditional Logic (
available in WPForms Pro).
### Will enabling addons slow down my site?
No. Every field, feature, and integration is opt-in from the **Addons** tab, and
front-end assets are only loaded on pages that display a WPForms form.
