Most find-and-replace tools run the query and hope. This one has a Dry Run mode that lists every match first, so you can check the result and back out if something looks wrong. That matters, because a bad replace on a live database is not something you can undo with Ctrl+Z. It also understands the places where content actually hides in a modern WordPress site: custom fields, ACF, serialized options, and the JSON-escaped data that Elementor and other page builders write. A plain SQL replace corrupts serialized data and breaks those pages. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New and search for “FixelHub Find& Replace”. 2. Click Install Now, then Activate. 3. Go to Tools > Find & Replace to run your first search. Installing manually instead: upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, then activate it from the Plugins screen. ## FAQ ### Does it change anything before I confirm? No. Run a Dry Run first and you get a list of every match, with the table and field each one sits in. Nothing is written to the database until you choose to apply the replacement. ### Do I still need a backup? Yes. Take one before any bulk database operation, whatever tool you use. The preview greatly reduces the risk of a wrong replacement, but it cannot protect you from a correct replacement you later change your mind about. ### Will it break serialized data? No. Serialized arrays are unserialized, updated and re-serialized correctly. This is the specific thing that goes wrong when people run a plain SQL find and replace through phpMyAdmin, and it is why sites break after a manual domain change. ### Does it work with Elementor? Yes. Elementor stores page content as JSON-escaped data in post meta, which most search tools miss entirely. This plugin searches that data and clears Elementor’s CSS cache after a replacement, so your pages render with the new content straight away. ### Does it work with ACF and custom fields? Yes. Post meta is searched alongside post content, so ACF fields and any other custom field data are included. ### Can I limit the replacement to certain content? Yes. You choose which areas to search — post content, post meta, page builder data, or the options table — so you can keep a replacement narrow rather than running it across everything. ### Is it really free?
