Its floating button starts collapsed. Visitors open it to accept all, reject optional categories or save individual choices. Closing the dialog does not give consent. * Optional scripts configured through FGX Ad do not load until the visitor authorizes their category. * Preferences are stored in the visitor’s localStorage for up to 180 days for the current configuration revision. * Changing the privacy policy URL or tracking IDs invalidates previous preferences. Presentation-only changes do not. * Revoking previously enabled trackers reloads the page to stop scripts already loaded by this plugin. * The widget supports Portuguese, English and Spanish, keyboard navigation and reduced motion. * The public credit link is disabled by default and requires separate administrator consent. The plugin only manages the GA4 and Meta Pixel IDs configured in its settings. It does not automatically block scripts installed through other plugins, themes, tag managers or embedded services. It is not a cookie scanner, centralized consent audit service or a certified CMP. It does not guarantee compliance with any legislation. Review your site’s privacy policy and all third-party integrations independently. No FGX account, license key or hosting subscription is required for the cookie preference widget. An administrator may optionally connect a site to FGX Workspace with a per- site key. The connection is disabled until an administrator provides that key. ### External services #### FGX Workspace — optional installation status When an administrator explicitly connects the plugin, it sends the site’s domain, plugin version, enabled state and configuration version to https://app.fgxweb.com/ api/fgxad/heartbeat once per day and when the administrator requests a manual synchronization. This information is used only to display the exact number and status of connected FGX Ad installations in the organization’s Workspace. It does not send visitor identities, page URLs, cookie choices, analytics events or configured tracking IDs. Disconnecting in Settings > FGX Ad removes the local key and stops future requests. Meta may receive the Pixel ID, page URL, IP address and browser/device information. No Pixel script is loaded by this plugin before permission. Any trackers added outside FGX Ad are outside its control. ## Installation 1. Upload and activate the plugin using the WordPress Plugins screen. 2. Open Settings > FGX Ad. 3. Enter the site’s HTTPS privacy policy URL. Bare domains are prefixed with HTTPS. 4. Optionally enter GA4 or Meta Pixel IDs after reviewing duplicate integrations. 5. Choose widget language and position, enable cookie preferences and save. 6. Optionally paste a per-site key generated by FGX Workspace to include this site in the organization’s exact installation count. 7. Clear page caches and test first visit, rejection, acceptance and revocation in a private browser session. ## FAQ ### Is it free? Yes. All included functionality is available locally, with no FGX account or paid subscription. ### Does it block every cookie on the site? No. Only the optional trackers configured here are controlled. Review external scripts and services separately. ### Why is the popup closed? It opens when the visitor selects the floating preferences button. Optional trackers remain off until permission is given. ### Can visitors change their choices? Yes. Use the floating button and save new choices. If a tracker was already loaded and permission is revoked, the page reloads. ### Are settings deleted on deactivation? No. Deactivation and plugin replacement preserve settings.
