A service business’s prices, service area and booking policies are often scattered across layouts. Give assistants one owner-maintained fact sheet to consult: /business. md. You decide what it says and review it when the details change. The plugin does not invent facts or promise inclusion in AI answers. **Business fact sheet** * Business name and a summary of up to 300 characters. * Repeatable services with descriptions, price or price range, three-letter currency code, unit and service URL. Empty prices remain empty; zero means free. * Service areas, opening hours in your WordPress timezone, closed days, contact details and booking URL. * Languages and policies such as cancellation, payment and booking terms. * A last-reviewed date updated automatically when you save. Administrators see a dashboard reminder after 180 days, dismissible for 30 days. * No fact sheet is published until you save a business name. Clear the name to unpublish it. Every field you publish is public. **Markdown companion** * Public posts and pages have a Markdown representation at their URL plus .md ( for example /services.md); a static front page uses /index.md. * Clients may request the normal post URL with Accept: text/markdown. HTML responses and negotiated Markdown vary by Accept; browsers keep receiving HTML. * Canonical Link, X-Robots-Tag: noindex, ETag and conditional 304 responses. Last- Modified is included; index changes are tracked by a local content fingerprint. * Drafts, private content, password-protected posts, excluded posts and non-viewable post types are never served. Respects per-post Yoast SEO and Rank Math noindex, and All in One SEO robots settings. * An editor checkbox excludes an individual post from Markdown, alternate links and our llms.txt index. It does not block other plugins or crawlers from reading its public HTML. * Optional on-demand /llms.txt index links to the business fact sheet before the post sections. No generated files or background jobs. **Works alongside your SEO plugin** Our llms.txt automatically yields when Yoast SEO, Rank Math or All in One SEO has its llms.txt generator enabled, or an existing llms.txt is found in the WordPress home directory. Business facts and Markdown pages stay available. A front-page alternate link helps discover the fact sheet. You can also disable our index manually. No external requests, tracking, cookies, accounts or hosted services. Everything is generated locally. Settings use WordPress capabilities, nonces and sanitization. All strings are translatable with the fer-markdown-for-ai text domain. Upload fer-markdown-for-ai to /wp-content/plugins/ and activate it. 2. Go to Settings > Markdown for AI > Business facts. Enter verified facts and save. 3. Open /business.md to review the public output. 4. Use the Publishing tab to select content types, index limits and optional Markdown/ index features. 5. Enable pretty permalinks and configure your server to route requests to WordPress. With plain permalinks, use Accept: text/markdown on the normal ?p=ID URL; .md copies require pretty permalinks. ## FAQ ### Works with Yoast/Rank Math/AIOSEO llms.txt? Yes. Only our llms.txt is automatically disabled when their generator is enabled;/ business.md and post Markdown continue working. We do not edit their generated files or settings. For Rank Math, add an absolute link to /business.md under General Settings > Edit llms.txt > Additional Content. In Yoast, manual selection accepts WordPress pages rather than arbitrary Markdown URLs: create/select a public business-information page containing a link to /business.md. For AIOSEO, add the fact-sheet URL wherever its llms.txt additional-content controls allow links. The front-page alternate link is provided independently. ### When are the facts reviewed? Saving the Business facts tab sets the last-reviewed date to today in the site timezone. Check every field before saving. The reminder appears only on the dashboard for administrators after 180 days. Dismissal lasts 30 days for that administrator. ### Can Markdown URLs be indexed? Our Markdown and index responses send X-Robots-Tag: noindex and a canonical Link to the HTML page. These are crawler directives, not access controls. Exclude private information before publishing. Upstream caches should respect Vary: Accept and revalidate using ETag. Purge any independent full-page cache after changing visibility or facts. ### Does this plugin send data anywhere? No. It makes no external requests. Visitors and crawlers can request your published facts and content normally. ### What if /business.md already exists? This plugin reserves /business.md and /index.md. Rename any conflicting public page or endpoint before using these routes. A physical file may take priority on your server. A blank business name returns 404 at /business.md. ### Are there developer filters? Yes: fer_mdai_facts (facts array, normalized before use), fer_mdai_business_markdown( body, facts), fer_mdai_llms_txt (body), fer_mdai_post_markdown (body, post), fer_mdai_public_post( boolean, post; can further exclude eligible content) and fer_mdai_llms_provider ( provider name or empty string). Filters are trusted local code and must preserve public-content and output safety rules. ### What happens when I delete the plugin? Uninstall removes fer_mdai_options, fer_mdai_facts, the generated fer_mdai_index_http fingerprint/timestamp, the per-post _fer_mdai_exclude metadata and the fer_mdai_dismiss user metadata on the current site. Deactivation retains your settings.
