## Description

Fennec Social Poster for LiveDune automatically sends the WordPress posts you select
to social networks. You can choose which posts to send and which content to include.
Text and images are currently supported.

A LiveDune account with API access, an API token (available on the settings page
in LiveDune), and at least one connected social account available for publishing
are required.

Publishing has currently been tested with Instagram, Telegram, Facebook, VK, Odnoklassniki,
MAX, LinkedIn, X, and Threads.

#### Features

 * Select social accounts separately for each WordPress post.
 * Test the API connection and refresh the list of available accounts.
 * Include or exclude the post title, permalink, and text before the More tag.
 * Convert post content to plain text while preserving paragraphs and line breaks.
 * Send up to 10 unique images, starting with the featured image and then images
   from the selected post content.
 * Send scheduled WordPress posts when they are published.
 * View per-account sending results in the post editor and the latest 50 sending
attempts in the Sent posts tab.
 * Manually retry failed or unfinished sends for individual accounts.
 * Interface translations are included for Russian, Kazakh, and Brazilian Portuguese;
   the source language is English.

The plugin handles standard WordPress posts. It schedules each LiveDune job for
approximately three minutes after preparing the request, using the WordPress site’s
timezone. Actual publication depends on LiveDune and the destination social network.

### External services

This plugin uses the official LiveDune API at https://api.livedune.com to publish
WordPress posts to social networks through LiveDune. LiveDune is a service used
by social media specialists for social media analytics and publishing. A LiveDune
account with API access and an API token are required.

Data sent to LiveDune and when:

 * When you test the connection or refresh the account list in the plugin settings,
the plugin sends your API token to request the social accounts available in LiveDune.
Paginated requests also send a pagination cursor.
 * When a published WordPress post is saved with LiveDune accounts selected, the
plugin sends a publishing request for each selected account that has no previous
sending result. Publishing a scheduled WordPress post also triggers this process.
A manual retry sends another request for the selected failed or unfinished account.
 * Each publishing request includes your API token, the selected LiveDune account
ID, the publication text, the scheduled publication date and time (approximately
three minutes after the request is prepared), and the WordPress site’s timezone.
 * The publication text is built from the post content with HTML removed. Depending
on your settings, it also includes the post title, the content before the More
tag, and the post permalink. If including the preceding content is disabled,
the nonempty content after the More tag is used; otherwise, the full content
   is used.
 * The request also includes up to 10 unique image URLs: the featured image first,
followed by images from the post content. These URLs are provided so LiveDune
can retrieve the images for publishing.

Requests are made over HTTPS using the API token saved in the plugin settings. Post
content is sent only for posts with LiveDune accounts selected for publishing, including
manual retries.

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin ZIP using Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, or copy the plugin
    folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
 2. Activate Fennec Social Poster for LiveDune.
 3. Open Settings > Fennec Social Poster for LiveDune.
 4. Enter the API token obtained from LiveDune and save your settings.
 5. Click Test connection, then Refresh accounts.
 6. Choose whether to include the post title, permalink, and text before the More tag,
    then save your settings.
 7. Open a WordPress post, select the social networks you want in the widget, and publish
    the post. For a scheduled post, select the accounts before its publication time;
the post will be sent to them automatically when WordPress publishes it.
 8. Check the results directly in the post editor or the Sent posts tab in the plugin
    settings.

Image URLs must be accessible to LiveDune so it can retrieve the images.

## FAQ

### Do I need a LiveDune account?

Yes. You need an account with API access, an API token, and social accounts connected
in LiveDune and available for publishing.

### Which social networks can I publish to?

Publishing has been tested with Instagram, Telegram, Facebook, VK, Odnoklassniki,
MAX, LinkedIn, X, and Threads. The plugin uses the accounts returned by the LiveDune
API and displays only those marked as available for publishing. Availability and
content limits depend on LiveDune and the destination network.

### Does every WordPress post get sent automatically?

No. Only published posts with LiveDune accounts selected are sent. Drafts are not
sent. Scheduled posts are sent when WordPress publishes them.

### Will updating a post send it again?

The plugin skips accounts that already have a recorded sending result for that post.
Failed or unfinished sends can be retried manually. If you select a new account
that was not previously selected and save the published post again, it will be sent
to that account.

### Does a successful result mean the post is already visible on the social network?

A successful result means LiveDune has accepted the post for publication. The plugin
does not poll the final publication status. Check LiveDune for the job’s progress
and final result.

### What happens to formatting and images?

HTML and shortcodes are removed from the text. Paragraphs and line breaks are preserved.
Up to 10 unique image URLs are sent: the featured image first, followed by images
from the selected content. The destination network may impose additional limits.

### How does the More tag option work?

With the option enabled, the full post content is used. With it disabled, content
after the More tag is used when that part is nonempty; otherwise, the full content
is used. The title and permalink have separate settings.

### Why is an account missing from the list?

Check that the account is connected and available for publishing in LiveDune, verify
your API access, and click Refresh accounts in the plugin settings.
