Featured Image Admin Thumb

Description

When active this plugin adds a column to the All Posts/All Pages and where supported the All Custom Post Type admin views. This column, “Thumb”, will display a thumbnail of the featured image
or post thumbnail so you can easily determine the content that is missing an image.

You can also make inline edits that allow you to change the thumb/image from the All Posts/All Pages/All Custom Post Type view without having to edit the post.

Now the plugin is translatable. Using tools such as Poedit along with localized / international versions of WordPress, FIAT can display user supplied translations of its text.

Screenshots

  • This shows the Thumb column in the All Pages/Posts admin view and in this case a thumbnail is available and shown. There would be a blank space if no thumbnail was found for the post or page.
  • If the column is not showing in your All Posts/Pages view this shows you where you can check to see that the "Thumb" column is selected to be displayed
  • Shows the change icon located next to a featured image/thumb indicating it can be changed inline without having to edit the content item first

Works but not well

It works fine for me, if you only load 2 images at a time. Otherwise, it locks the browser up and you have to start over.

Does not work

This plugin claims you can do inline edits of the featured image in list view. This is not true.

Verified by our team and we are adding non working plugins to a new online directory in an effort to address the problem of defunct and non working WP plugins. This problem is getting out of control.

Impressive – works well and very quick too!

I’m mightily impressed with just how quick this is – it doesn’t seem to add any slowdown to the display of post or page lists. And, for those who need to see what featured images they have assigned, this just does what you’d expect.

Very handy

This is a simple plug-in, but it makes content managers much more productive: First by indicating which posts do not have a featured image – and second by making it much quicker to add a featured image directly from the list view.

Cool

Thank you.
I didn’t fully tested it with “Admin Management Xtended” Version 2.4.1 by Oliver Schlöbe, but there is an incompatibility between those two that makes the thumbnails to be displayed on the left (instead of the right) and that displays post title in a very narrowed column. Probably a simple css conflict.
