## Description
Faraiand Sale Assistant combines actionable visitor analytics and a locally powered
search assistant inside WordPress.
**Features:**
* Page views, consent-based sessions, click heatmaps and scroll-depth insights.
* Anonymous journeys, product views and WooCommerce funnel reporting when WooCommerce
is available.
* Locally powered conversational search assistant, including product/article/page
search, public custom content, and relevant navigation.
* Persistent conversation within the same browser tab, without requiring a separate
analytics account.
* A responsive admin dashboard and basic CSV exports.
* A built-in consent banner, privacy settings, and data-retention controls.
The Free plugin operates independently. Separately distributed add-ons may extend
it through public WordPress hooks; no paid functionality is bundled or locked in
this package.
A single optional “View Pro demo” link is available on the plugin Settings page.
Pro is a separately distributed add-on; Free does not require it and does not make
network requests unless an administrator chooses to open that link.
#### External services
The Free plugin does not need an external analytics, AI, font, or license service.
Its analytics data stays on the WordPress server and visitor tracking is gated by
consent. Free makes no external calls and provides no automatic upgrade redirects.
This Free plugin does not connect to AI services or transmit chat messages to third-
party providers.
#### Privacy
The built-in analytics tracker is consent-gated by default. Before consent, it does
not create a persistent visitor identifier or send analytics events. The plugin
does not intentionally record form inputs, OTP codes, payment tokens, raw IP addresses
or raw customer messages in analytics events. No third-party analytics pixels are
loaded.
Browser storage used by Free:
* `farasaas_consent_v1` in localStorage records the visitor’s yes/no choice. It
has no fixed browser expiry and remains until consent is changed or browser storage
is cleared.
* `farasaas_visitor_v1` in localStorage is a random visitor identifier created
only after consent. It remains until consent is revoked or browser storage is
cleared.
* `farasaas_session_v1` in sessionStorage contains the analytics session ID, short-
lived token and expiry for the current tab. The server token lasts about one
hour.
* `farasaas:p4:v1:` in sessionStorage contains recent assistant context
for the current tab and expires after about 45 minutes. Its `:nav` marker expires
after about one minute.
* `farasaas_allowed` is a SameSite=Lax session cookie reflecting analytics consent.
Secure is added on HTTPS.
* `farasaas_ref` is a signed, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax session reference with an
expiry of about one hour. Secure is added on HTTPS.
Granting consent starts analytics. Denying or revoking consent stops new collection,
clears queued events, the local visitor/session values and the two cookies, and
clears assistant tab history. A prior denial can be changed through the consent
banner or a site’s consent manager. Local opt-out does not claim to erase every
historical server record; administrators manage retention and erasure separately
in plugin settings and WordPress privacy tools.
The chat assistant processes short search messages on the WordPress server to return
local site results. Free does not send those messages to an AI provider or another
external service. Review your local privacy and consent requirements before enabling
analytics.
#### Performance
The tracker uses bounded event batches, and the assistant only loads its frontend
assets when enabled and allowed on the current page. Traffic and performance are
deployment-dependent; test on staging before activating for customers.
## Installation
1. Upload the Free plugin ZIP with Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, or install from
WordPress.org after publication.
2. Activate the plugin and visit the Sale Assistant menu.
3. Review tracking consent and data-retention settings.
4. Open Assistant and optionally enable the local chat interface.
5. For WooCommerce metrics, install and activate WooCommerce; non-store page analytics
and content search work without it.
## FAQ
### Is WooCommerce required?
No. Product metrics require WooCommerce; page analytics and content search can operate
without it.
### Does the Free edition require a paid account?
No. Core analytics, heatmaps and the local assistant work without a license or external
service.
### Does it automatically send messages to OpenAI?
No. Free has no AI provider connection. It makes no AI requests.
### Will deactivating or uninstalling erase my analytics?
No. The standard WordPress Deactivate action and uninstall both retain data. Separate,
clearly confirmed controls on the plugin Settings page can erase Free analytics
or all Free-owned data. Back up the database before erasing. Free never deletes
add-on-owned data.
### Can I translate the interface?
Yes. The interface follows the effective WordPress locale and uses standard WordPress
gettext strings. A complete Persian catalog is bundled for fa_IR; other translations
can be provided through the normal WordPress translation system.
