## Description

Daily Rosary automatically shows the correct Rosary for the current day using the
free Rosary API:

 * Mystery set (Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious or Luminous)
 * Liturgical season
 * Full date and day of the week
 * Embedded audio player (MP3)
 * YouTube video embed

Supports multiple languages via the `lang` attribute (e.g., `lang="fr"`).

**Available Shortcodes**

 Shortcode
 Description

 `[daily_rosary]`
 Full card (mystery + season + audio + YouTube)

 `[daily_rosary_info]`
 Mystery + Season + Date only (no media)

 `[daily_rosary_mystery]`
 Mystery name only

 `[daily_rosary_season]`
 Liturgical season only

 `[daily_rosary_date]`
 Date + Day only

 `[daily_rosary_audio]`
 Audio player only

 `[daily_rosary_video]`
 YouTube video only

**Examples**
 [daily_rosary] [daily_rosary lang=”fr”] [daily_rosary_audio lang=”
fr”] Today we pray the `[daily_rosary_mystery]` in the season of `[daily_rosary_season]`.

The data is cached until midnight so the API is only called once per day.

### External services

This plugin connects to external third-party services and APIs to fetch daily Rosary
content and display embedded media:

 1. **The Rosary API (the-rosary-api.vercel.app)**
 2.  * **Purpose:** Used to retrieve today’s liturgical Rosary information, including
       current mystery, liturgical season, audio player links, and YouTube video IDs.
     * **Data Sent & When:** Sends an HTTP GET request to `https://the-rosary-api.vercel.
       app/v1/today` (English) or `https://the-rosary-api.vercel.app/v1/dujour` (French)
       whenever a shortcode page is loaded and data is not cached locally. No personal
       user data or IP addresses are logged or sent by this plugin.
     * **Terms & Privacy:**

 3. **YouTube (Google LLC)**
 4.  * **Purpose:** Used to embed the daily Rosary video player iframe inside shortcodes(`[
       daily_rosary]` and `[daily_rosary_video]`).
     * **Data Sent & When:** Loads an iframe directly from `https://www.youtube.com/
       embed/` whenever a visitor views a page containing the video player shortcodes.
       YouTube may collect visitor IP addresses, browser details, and set third-party
       cookies according to Google’s policies.
     * **Terms & Privacy:**
        - Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms
        - Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

## Installation

 1. Upload the `daily-rosary` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory.
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
 3. Place any of the shortcodes in a page, post or widget.
