## Description

Escape AI Connector turns your WordPress site into an MCP (Model Context Protocol)
server that Escape AI — in your IDE, desktop app, or chat — can connect to directly,
so it can create and edit posts, pages, custom content, and taxonomies from natural-
language prompts instead of you clicking through wp-admin.

Nothing happens automatically: every action goes through the exact permissions you
set on the Permissions tab, and every change is recorded in a real, reviewable Activity
Log.

**Free plan**: Posts and Pages, Create and Edit only, 7-day activity history, 1
connected MCP client at a time.

**Premium**: all public content types (custom post types, media, taxonomies), Create/
Edit/Delete/Publish, unlimited history with CSV export, and multiple simultaneous
client connections.

#### How it works

 1. Install and activate the plugin.
 2. Go to Escape AI Connection and generate a pairing key.
 3. In Escape AI (VS Code, desktop app, or the WordPress quick-connect card), paste
your site’s MCP URL and the pairing key.
 4. Set exactly what Escape AI is allowed to touch on the Permissions tab.
 5. Ask Escape AI to make a content change — it shows up in your Activity Log.

### External services

This plugin connects to Escape AI’s own license API (api.escape-ai.org) to activate/
deactivate a Premium license key and to fetch current Premium pricing for the Upgrade
screen.

It sends your license key and site URL (home_url()) each time you activate or deactivate
a license on the Upgrade screen, and sends no data at all for the pricing lookup(
a plain GET). No content, post data, or visitor data is ever sent by this plugin
to this or any other external service — the actual content operations (creating/
editing posts, etc.) happen entirely on your own WordPress site, triggered locally
by whichever Escape AI client (IDE, desktop app, or chat) you’ve connected.

This service is provided by Escape AI. Terms of Service: https://escape-ai.org/terms—

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin files to `/wp-content/plugins/escape-ai-connector`, or install
directly through the WordPress plugins screen.
 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
 3. Go to Escape AI Connection in your admin sidebar to generate a pairing key and
connect your first Escape AI client.

## FAQ

### Does this plugin make changes automatically without me asking?

No. Escape AI only acts when a connected client sends it an instruction, and only
within whatever you’ve enabled on the Permissions tab.

### Where can I see what Escape AI has changed?

The Activity Log tab shows every change: what, when, and which connected client
made it.

### What happens if I don’t upgrade to Premium?

The plugin keeps working on Posts and Pages with Create/Edit permissions — you’re
never locked out, just limited to the Free tier’s scope described above.
