Developing a completely new product with a totally different approach, which by definition will inevitably have issues and be subject to constant changes. What I cannot understand is why a company would use its stable product, already used on so many live websites, as a testing ground for software that is clearly so unreliable — practically alpha software, considering the number of patches — forcing customers, including paying customers, to constantly bear additional costs, waste time, and deal with the stress caused by problems introduced by Elementor itself.People using the free version may perhaps accept that there will be issues, because they are using a product offered at no cost.Paying customers, however, CANNOT reasonably accept this kind of UNPROFESSIONAL behavior from Elementor.Who is going to reimburse paying customers for the maintenance costs caused by EVERY BUG AND PROBLEM introduced by Elementor? The company I work for did not agree to pay you a subscription fee in order to become part of the testing phase for your alpha products.If you need beta testers, hire and pay them — or refund our subscription! Why did you not implement a separate plugin — let me think, perhaps something called “Elementor Atomic” — that both paying and non-paying customers could choose to install alongside the stable product when working on staging or testing websites?Once the new product had reached a level of completeness and stability where it was no longer a burden or an additional cost for customers, the two products could then have been merged.I understand that this must be such an incredibly complicated and revolutionary idea. Perhaps you could have asked your AI for help figuring it out (“Angie” — yes, I would say the corner of the classroom is exactly where it belongs). If even your AI cannot come up with something this obvious, then it is not providing much support either.A doubt comes to mind.Is Elementor, as a company, actively trying to drive away both its long-standing customers and potential new customers who read reviews written by those long-standing customers?Do you simply have too many customers, or has competition among WordPress page builders become too easy for you?Who came up with this brilliant idea — this “evil genius” — of forcing customers to bear the cost of developing YOUR new products? You are very good at advertising the quality of your products on your website. It is just a shame that you conveniently leave out all the problems that come included in the package. How much more time are we expected to waste dealing with endless new versions that scream at us every week: “Heads up, Please backup before upgrade!” and “Compatibility Alert”?Months? Years?When exactly are you going to separate the live production environment from the development environment?After months of development and months of problems being pushed onto paying customers, what have you decided to do to compensate customers and reduce the impact of this ongoing situation?Are you at least thinking about it, or do you simply not care?And believe me, I am choosing my words carefully here, because considering the amount of crap you are dumping on your customers, there would be a lot more that could be said.We do not want empty words from a front- line employee — and I mean no disrespect whatsoever to the people whose job is basically to “take the punches from customers” and put their own face in front of the problem— who apologizes because they are fully aware that there are issues, but has neither the responsibility nor the authority to provide concrete answers. We want SOMEONE who actually has the authority to answer.Whether that is the CEO, CTO, Founder, Co-Founder, their gardener, their baker, the neighbor’s housekeeper — frankly, anyone who has the power to provide a definite answer.We want someone to finally answer what customers are actually asking. We want a clear and simple answer: How are you going to solve this problem? The system automatically saves changes without you even wanting it to, and then publishes them live to the website right away. The interface is way too complicated and absolutely user-unfriendly– just not good at all. Unfortunately, our webmaster already built the website using this program, so we are stuck with it now. As for me: Never again, absolutely never again! I had to really sell my company on the idea of building websites quickly and handily with this tool. Sure, it was going to be a major update and there'd be some bumps along the way. Well …. I've seen a lot of new software, but I've never experienced a major release so shot-through with significant bugs—not annoying little minor issues, but serious problems that never should've been inflicted on actual users in production environments. And the folks at Elementor said version 4 was ready for production environments. I've lost too much time, suffered too many headaches, and had to offer too many explanations to my superiors for all the delays Elementor 4 has caused. The site I'm working on is nearly complete, but there's technical debt to be paid: I will likely have to return to it to upgrade elements I had to downgrade to v3 in order to get them functioning properly. Basic things, like using the Featured Image as a background image in blog page headers. (Seriously—it's a known issue a user documented in GitHub back in June. There's still no indication that the development team is addressing it.) It's my first Elementor site … and it'll be my last. Future sites will be built with Bricks and/or Gutenberg, and my goal is to rebuild the Elementor site before I have to renew my Elementor One subscription.
