They kept getting emails about new users being registered but all were blocked (the accounts were not created). The plugin only blocks the registration process, it doesn’t deal with the associated hooks (among which are the emails sent to admin). It seems that the developer may be aware that it’s not reliable, under FAQ there is a question“ It doesn’t work! A new user just registered on my website!” with a request that the developer is informed about how they did it. How any end user can know this isn’t explained!
