Disable Real MIME Check

With the upgrade to WordPress 4.7.1, some non-image files fail to upload on certain server setups. This will be fixed in 4.7.3, see the Trac ticket.

In the meantime, this plugin is a workaround that disables the recently introduced strict MIME check to restore the upload functionality.

Don’t forget to remove the plugin once WordPress 4.7.3 is available!

  1. Upload disable-real-mime-check folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.

Wow, uploads permitteda again, thnx

This helped! Without knowing, and being informed about this issue, I found out about it wp.org forums. Also found the solution by means of the link to this plugin. Many thanks to you guys for helping with this, third-party, solution.
