This plugin adds a short booking form to every WooCommerce product page so the shopper can ask the shop to hold the item and try it in person. This plugin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Automattic or the WooCommerce project. It requires WooCommerce to work. **How it works** 1. A block with a “Book a fitting appointment” button appears on the product page. 2. The shopper fills in name, phone, optional email, preferred day, time of day and a comment. 3. Depending on your settings, the request arrives: 4. * **By instant message**: the shopper browser opens a chat with your shop number and the whole request already written, so they only press send. It does not depend on server email at all. * **By email**: the server sends the request with wp_mail() to the address you configure. * **Both**. 5. An optional button also lets the shopper share the product link or copy it. **Features** * Modal form, so the shopper never leaves the product page. * Validation in the browser and again on the server. * Choice of receiving channel: instant message, email, or both. * Configurable position: below the add to cart button, at the end of the product summary, or through the shortcode `[devesap_fitting_appointment]` for themes and page builders that replace the product template (Elementor, YOOtheme, block templates). * Can be limited to selected product categories. * Configurable accent colour; typography is inherited from the theme. * Fully translatable, with its own text domain and `/languages` folder. * Declares compatibility with High Performance Order Storage. **Privacy** The plugin creates no accounts, asks for no photographs, collects no statistics and **stores no requests in the database**: form data travels only to the channel you choose. The only stored value is the plugin settings option, removed on uninstall. **Third party services** When the messaging channel is selected, the shopper browser opens a link to `https:// wa.me`, the click-to-chat service operated by WhatsApp LLC, so the shopper can send the message from their own account. Upload the `devesap-fitting-appointments` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the ZIP from **Plugins Add New Plugin Upload Plugin**. 2. Activate the plugin in **Plugins**. 3. Go to **Settings Fitting Appointments** (there is also a Settings link in the plugin row). 4. Enter the messaging number with country code and no spaces, or pick the email channel and enter the address. 5. Open a product page and test the whole flow. ## FAQ ### What does it need to work? An active WooCommerce shop. The block is rendered on the product page and takes the item name and link from it. ### What format must the messaging number have? Digits only, with country code, no spaces or symbols. For Spain: `34` followed by the nine digits. The settings screen warns you when the number looks incomplete and offers a link to test it. ### The block does not show up on the product page Some themes and page builders (Elementor, YOOtheme, block templates) replace the product template and never fire the classic hooks. In that case choose the “Only where the shortcode is placed” position and add `[devesap_fitting_appointment]` to your template. ### I chose email and nothing arrives wp_mail() depends on the server, and many hosts do not deliver mail reliably. Install an SMTP plugin, configure it with a mailbox on your own domain and use its test email. The messaging channel does not depend on server mail. ### Are appointments stored in the WordPress dashboard? No. The plugin creates no tables and no records: every request arrives at the number or the address you configured and is handled there. ### Does it work with variable products? Yes.
